The Big Snip - How bad is it?
For the first few days or so. Make sure to take it easy and just wrap them with frozen peas. Buddy of mine took a walk day 2 or 3 bc he “felt fine”. Swelled up like an orange and was in a lot of pain for a couple weeks. Myself and everyone else I know… quick process, quick recovery. Worth it- CTELK83

Rifle Elk Caliber and Bullet Choice for 2023
I’m really liking my 6.8 western with 175 grain bullets. (1) cow elk, (1) bull elk, (1) pronghorn and (1) whitetail deer…. All 1 shot and none took a step. Shot a moose a few years ago with 338 win mag 225 grain and hit higher shoulder and flipped it almost backwards! Was crazy. First... -
Do you carry a pistol for bear when elk hunting???
I have bear spray and a pistol (10mm) Believe I read somewhere majority of people attacked by bears that used spray to defend end up without series injury while people that used or tried to use a pistol end up with injuries? Either way. I feel better with the pistol in arms reach for sure! -

Heading to Montana and Idaho in a month for Pronghorn and Mule deer First time for both! I have only hunted elk with a rifle 2x, neither time did I use these… but curious what people thing For mountain mule deer or the pronghorn in flats Do you use bi pods on your rifle? If so what one(s)... -
