I also drew 100-2. I'll be heading out for the September archery with my 2 sons who will be the packers. I'll be 68 when I go and they'll be doing all the work. Good luck with your hunt.
Not random draw, I used 15 points to get the tag. It could have been overkill but it's the terrain and numbers that I was looking at, mostly terrain. I'll be 68 for the hunt and this unit fits me perfectly. Hope you get yours next year. Take care.
Successful for 100-2, very excited for this hunt. The terrain fits me perfectly and I'll have 2 sons along for packing so I'm set. Now wait a few days and get some calls in to wardens and biologists. Good luck to everyone. Take care.
6.5x284 with 143 grain ELDX, looking hard at the Barnes 127 grain LRX though. The 147 ELDM's are tack drivers in my rifle but I'm worried about using a match bullet. So far I have taken zero animals with this rifle.
Thanks for the reply. I'm kinda confused now with NR tags going by region. I see the west region doesn't have 100 listed in their breakdown. I'm going to call out tomorrow and ask if I draw the west region can I hunt unit 100. Thanks again for the help.
I bought one about 10 years ago in the Cabelas gun library. Is a Savage 16FCSS and honestly it's tough to find a load that won't shoot under an inch. Always with H4831SC. Enjoy your new rifle.
I'm thinking 100 might be my best option but I'm open to any suggestions. I'm going to start calling wardens and biologists right after Christmas looking for some help also.
