Hard pass. Put solar on developed land and real property in Washoe and Clark county first.

    Pronghorn Old Buck Taste

I mean, the HTLE season in Nevada seems pre-rut to me. I've seen pronghorn do some crazy shit in mid-late September. Never had one taste anything but great. Get that hide off them and in a cooler ASAP.

    California Governor Called "Trumpian"

I like to refer to the party conventions as the red and blue circle jerks. Champagne room sounds better.

    2024 Idaho draw results…

I didn't draw a pronghorn tag in SW Idaho in the second draw? Blasphemy.

NV First come first serve Alerts

I purposefully clicked on an area 6 archery deer tag after thirty seconds of it being up with zero intent of keeping the tag. Now in the penalty box, but that's ok. Already have my schedule lined up. Only thing I would consider is HSTE pronghorn in a couple of units.

    2024 California Bear

That's a nice boar in the first picture. We found some scat that was really fresh. Looks like the bear are still eating a heavy helping of greens and some insects. Some new (to me) berries are pretty prevalent this year. Look like raspberries. Maybe wineberries?

    2024 California Bear

Yes, but it also makes bears hit water most days if not every day.

    2024 California Bear

Archery season starts in thirteen days, so lets get this thread started. @NVDesertHunter and I set cameras in late May and both had our firstborns come into our lives within a week. After surviving the newborn stage we checked cameras yesterday and the bears....aren't a big fan of our trail...

Yes, he's got a unique frame for a muley.

    National Pronghorn Organization

Thank you for doing that. I wish I had the time to go head first into this, but with a newborn at home and (slowly) taking over a business I wouldn't be able to give it 100%. That being said, I did help write the bylaws for NV board of BHA. I could help there and volunteer in a smaller...

    National Pronghorn Organization

I spent Sunday scouting a buddies pronghorn tag in Washoe County, NV. Covered a lot of different county. Found one water hole with sign. Saw zero pronghorn. Place was full of feral horses and burros. Sad state of affairs. I know we were just burning rubber to cover ground, but it was...

    2024 Nevada mule deer

While scouting a pronghorn tag with a buddy yesterday (7/28/24) we ran across this muley in Washoe county. With the state of Nevada's mule deer it was a pleasant surprise to see him. Archery season is almost here, so post those Nevada bucks you've seen in 2024.

    Big news in Nevada.

Two tags for bull moose this year. It just depends what you apply for. There are leftover archery tags every year.

    August of the Antelope

You'll need to put in as much time before season as you can. There's plenty of bucks larger than the ones in the clear pictures and I don't even know which unit you're in. Should be a really good year for horn growth.

    How long?

Never hunted big 6 for elk myself, but you should hear bugles early and late. The later you get into the season the more they should bugle during daylight hours (or they will feel the hunting pressure and just bugle at night and midday).
