Finally got the sailboat out in the ocean and caught some salmon. Toco is almost 14 but still likes boat trips. My wife is ready to head to Alaska! Hopefully next Spring…

    Wrangler ATG?

The zippers on the phone pocket blew out of every pair I've bought. Iphone just a little too big being the cause. Other than that I liked them.

    Whats your shower setup?

I've been using a Zodi for years and it's great but can be dangerous. Do not forget you can't stop flow even for a few seconds when propane is on. Scalded my leg pretty bad remembering that after skinning and packing a moose all day and was too tired probably to shower.

    Tillamook Oregon

If you like hiking I would recommend hiking out to the end of Cape Lookout. It's a couple miles but very spectacular views. Often whales swim by right below you if you are out on the end.

    Oregon Jackrabbit

if you are wanting to eat rabbit I would walk grassy old roads a lot closer to home and kill some cottontails. I've eaten a bunch of them and they are excellent.

    Arrow rest

I just switched from a Rip Cord Ace to a Hamskea Epsilon and it's working really well. The Rip Cord always seemed to have a little vane contact which really got worse with age.

    Oregon Jackrabbit

Their numbers really fluctuate and the last couple times I've been out in the desert they have been fairly rare. 20 years ago you could shoot them all day long everywhere. I've seen the most down in the SE corner of the state anywhere there is sagebrush.

    West coast salmon recovery

I agree that it doesn't seem logical to waste fish but I think the solution is to ban any method of harvest that creates it. We can no longer sport fish sturgeon in the Columbia but the salmon gillnetters can sell their bycatch. If sturgeon are in such dire straights that can't allow a small...
