Training Resource- Lab for Upland hunting?

the more time you can spend with the pup the better. My female yellow lab has a litter right now and it sure fun to play with them at just over 4 weeks. We are keeping one and I hope she turns out like her mother! If they want to please you and obey it is much better than if you try and make...

    Bucket list

I am a simple man. I cannot get enough bull elk to quench my thirst. So #1 would be to shoot more bull elk. #2? Well in true bucket list fashion, probably an Alaskan Moose.

Everyone One On This Damn Forum……

Don't forget the neighbors. We have a sweet old guy in our neighborhood. He walks a lot. Every time I am driving to or from home and see him, I pull over and (kiddingly) insult his heritage. He loves it. Insults me with a big smile. A short, verbal joust, then on to local events. Loves my...

    Your dog’s quirk?

Not a quirk, but funny nonetheless....my buddies dog jumped up on his dresser and ate his passport. Oh, I remembered another quirk for my dog. She is a lab. She loves water. She loves retrieving ducks no matter the temperature even if there are ice chunks in the water. However, no matter...

    Evaluate the ROI on Education

NDSU as a MN resident (reciprocity) $19K Tuition, Room and Board. I only saw this mentioned once, but kids should have jobs and should be able to get some semblance of a scholarship if they work hard. Nobody should be borrowing the full price of tuition, room, and board.

    Evaluate the ROI on Education

There are so many college majors it is hard to tie them up into a neat package. A doctor, lawyer, biophysicist, etc are going to make bank. An engineer, nurse, etc are going to do really well. There are many majors that may ask you if you want to supersize that order (I am still looking for...

    Evaluate the ROI on Education

Regarding the topic that some in the trades make over $100K, wouldn't it also be fair to state what the upper end of those with college degrees make? That number is certainly in the many hundreds of thousands per year if not millions per year.

    Your dog’s quirk?

I have a 6 year old lab. Her quirk is she loves being in the middle of hugs. If two people hug, she is a tan blur running to jump up and get between them. She is not a jumper and never jumps on people....except for hug time.

The Tourney ‘25 - MN High School Hockey

I normally don’t root for the Moorhead Potatoes, as they are a rival of ours, but I was pulling for them. Now if my Alexandria team can win the basketball championship, that would be awesome! Did you see the All-Hair team for hockey? That was on ESPN!

Let’s Get Businesslike With Federal Lands

@Big Fin You should write a rebuttal letter! What a narrow-minded individual that must look at public lands solely through the lens of profit and loss.

    Sunday Pic of the Day

I am kicking myself for not taking a picture. Yesterday I saw 2 Amish kids having fun. One was driving the horse and buggy and going along at a pretty good clip. Tied to the buggy was a rope. The rope had 2 knots in it (one for each hand) and a kid was skiing in the ditches in the snow. The...

    Retirees whatcha living on?..........

To me, the question of when you take SS vs taking out of 401K is simply a math exercise of how much SS will increase from say, 62 to 65, vs how much 401K will increase in those 3 years. You will know the SS increase, you will have to make some assumptions on the 401K. But it is a worthwhile...

Help with gun decision for my son

Check out the 7mm-08 vs 6.5 CM for the same or similar bullets. Look at velocity, drop, recoil, and energy for the ranges he will be shooting at. Add in other cartridges if you want. apples to apples.
