For 3,000 ft/second and and an 8" twist, it looks like the rotation speed is 270,000 rpm. So 400,000 rpm is pretty hot.
IMO we may be moving close to the conditions which have produced ammo / powder / primer shortages in the past. No value judgements here, just looking at the clouds.
