This graph includes fishing licenses (season, 1 day, etc) as well as hunting. Montana is a destination state for angling, and there are roughly 8-ish million tourists who come to the state every year.- Ben Lamb

June is magical in the Park. Fewer people than July and it's green & lush. Critters are out in force and doing critter stuff. I'll second @Little Big Man MT Chris on Cooke City/Silver Gate. Fit helps tame recoil just as much as anything. A good gas gun that fits you well and helps reduce recoil sounds like the ticket.. I've lost outstanding river bottom opportunity because people showed up Christmas morning demanding access to a type 2.
