I wouldn't be upset if USDA didn't re-direct some of the Inflation Reduction Act funds to the USFS...
IMO, that'd be a better use than retroactively increasing minimum payments for folks already under contract...
All of the how to's have been well covered. If I can keep my head, hands, feet warm I can stay longer. For hands, I know longer wear big, bulky, warm gloves. I much prefer a muff with light gloves and a handwarmer if needed.
If at all possible, I'd try to sit all day on the opener/opening...
Not a whole lot of maybe about it, IMO. The DWR manages the tag numbers in the hunting units; CWMU (emphasis on the U) included. Manipulation of tag numbers by sex could have been done to meet objectives.
That said, I am not ignorant to the fact that the wildlife bio at DL&L could likely...
Definitely could have changed, but when I was working with DL&L, folks that drew the CMWU tags did not have to pay any fees other than the state tag fees, bulls or cows. Back then, they gave all of the antlerless tags to the drawings as that allowed them to keep more of the antlered tags. But...
Best time of the year! Hunting seasons have started here. LLWS just concluded. Now I have football to watch on Thursday, Friday (high school), and Saturday. Got tickets to two Notre Dame football games this season, one being a night game against FSU. Lets go Irish!

That would be him. Not sure if works for everyone, but clicking on that should take you to a video of one of his at bats this summer...

He's definitely grown in the last year. I pretty much look him eye to eye now. My wife's not a big person, but looks very small next to him. This was in May...

Just now getting this post up, as I had a few issues getting pictures loaded up. Youth season in Indiana is always the last full weekend in September. This year was the first year I've had/used trail cameras. We've been getting enough pics of good enough bucks that excitement was growing as...
I love smoked bologna. I take the rind off, cross hatch it with a knife, rub it very liberally with yellow mustard and then coat it with you're favorite BBQ rub. Smoke until you want to eat it. Cut into cubes and provide BBQ sauce, ranch, and horseradish sauce for dipping.
