    My daughter caught and released a nice 30” walleye today and I released two around 26”. All in all, it was a really good day. I released a skinny 28” a few days ago from one of the few motor lakes in the BWCA.

    Old duck decoys

    I got these old decoys that my great uncle made years ago. Do I put them on a display shelf as is or give them some fresh paint? If I paint them do I paint them how they were originally painted or get creative with the paint and make some pairs? A pair of mallards, a pair of black ducks, etc.

    Our best walleye fishing day this year

    Thursday was my birthday so my wife and daughter agreed to go to one of my favorite BWCA lakes with me on Friday. It’s a long day trip but we managed to get about 4 hours of fishing time and we pounded ‘em. My daughter finished the day with this heavy 30” fish.
