Colorado relocating wolves.
Well, like no one saw this coming. Colorado is relocating wolves due to "wildlife" attacks. Apparently their definition of wildlife means cattle. Glad I'm not a cattle rancher in Colorado! Game commission would arrest me. Dark haired lady is a freaking idiot!!- std7mag

Weatherby Mark V. Like potato chips.
So is it just me, or are Weatherby Mark V's like potato chips? You can't have just one. I went 38 years of hunting without one. Then within about 8 months I have 3. Then @golfer sends me a picture of a nice 270 WBY at a good price. Such a tease. Lol -

45 Colt & 45-70. What pressures to load to?
Ok, recently bought 2 different 45 caliber firearms. Problem is that there are 3 pressure levels for each. First firearm is a Taurus Judge with the 6.5" barrel. I have a bunch of 185gr Sierra JHP. I have found data from Lyman 48th for the 185gr, but it's rifle data, not pistol. The data...- std7mag

Wind reading and practice during a high wind day.

I was looking at this revolver.

I just picked up my new 45 caliber inline yesterday. Growing up I have always used Goes black powder. Alas, now finding actual black powder to buy just isn't going to happen. Aside from making my own. So looking at substitutes, which is a better choice? I really didn't care for Pyrodex...- std7mag

50 or 45 caliber inline?
Looking to get an inline this year. My question. Is there any advantage to getting a 50 caliber over a 45 caliber? With the 50, I will probably end up shooting 45cal sabot anyways. With the 45, I can easily duplicate a 45-70.- std7mag

Revolver getting to be a PITA!

Cleaning a Ceracoated muzzle brake.
So i have this new Weatherby Mark V that is Ceracoated a tan color. The muzzle brake is also Ceracoated. Which gets pretty carboned, pretty quickly. I've been using a mixture of Hoppes #9 & Kroil to clean at the range. Some on a paper towel & picked up some pipe cleaners. And i'm scrubbing... -
