2024 was a chaotic year again. We finished building our house on the CO/NM boarder and moved in. The spring and summer flashed by with setting up the house, landscaping, and fire mitigation. All of this severely limited fishing time. In October, I accepted a job offer in Gillette, WY and we put...
I have some contour waist belts in Medium and a load sling that I don't need and were never used. Make a reasonable offer and they are yours. Have a great day!
2023 was a busy and blessed year for us. We were on the home stretch of building a new home in Chromo, Colorado. To keep our sanity, we got out over the summer to relax and catch a few fish. Sitting in a boat seems to fix most of life’s issues.
The summer went by quickly...
I was just about to bring this to Goodwill, but decided to put it on HuntTalk for a couple of days. It is listed as 4615/5000 and outside dimensions of the frame are 26x31". A quick internet search says these paintings sell for $300-350. I will sell it to a fellow HuntTalker for $150 and...
I have seven Terry Redlin plates, in perfect condition, that I need to find a new home for before I move. $110 for all seven plates and I will package securely and pay shipping. They all have a numbered Certificate of Authenticity and are listed below with pictures:
2022 was an interesting year and heavy on the elk.
The year started in February for my daughter and I with a AZ javalina hunt. I have never hunted the little buggers before and for three days we hiked and glassed. We concluded we sucked at hunting javalina, but rocked at having a good time. We...
Great companies need to be recognized, because so many others will let you down!
I have had a Mystery Ranch Crew Cab Pack since 2009. There are lighter packs for sure, but this pack has done everything I have ever asked of it and I have asked a lot. Over the last fourteen years, every...
Might be a long shot, but I was wondering if there was a Front Range HuntTalker that might have a harrow I could use or rent for a few days this fall.
Send me a PM if you can help a brother out. Thank you.
In the last year I have made an effort to get caught up on some taxidermy at our house. There are always a few things I would change, but overall I am pleased with how everything turned out:
2017 Mulies - This is my wife's first mulie and my best to date. I built the pedestal and put in way...
My daughter was fortunate enough to draw a random early rifle elk tag for September. We will be there early to scout and have the whole season to hunt. If those familiar with unit 9, do you have any recommendations for good camping spots. We will be in a wall tent and are looking for some...
The theme of 2021 seemed to be quality, not quantity.
We started off the year with a lot of fishing. Kathy and I traveled to Louisiana in March to fish with a friend and explore New Orleans a bit. It was too rough to get out to the offshore drilling rigs, but the inshore fishing was good for...
This unit was new in 2019, came with my boat, and worked well (light use). I received a fish finder with a larger screen for Christmas and had this one taken off of my boat. All original parts are included, including the optional swivel base, and are in like new condition. These units are...
This is a hard time of the year to focus and get anything done! Having these guys on the hill across from my house every morning doesn't help.
Buck #1
Buck # 2
Buck # 3
Off and on the bulls show up as well!
Good luck to everyone this season.
My wife and I put in for the same CO mt. goat tag this year and we were lucky enough to have our credit card hit for $313 in May. I was hoping my wife was the one who drew, as a mt. goat is her dream hunt. It turned out I was the lucky one and she could not have been more excited for the...
I have five 1 lb. containers for GOEX black powder and three tins of CCI musket caps for sale. Retail, before taxes, the entire lot would cost $133.92. I will sell it all for $65 and you can pick up in the Denver area. PM me if you are interested and have a great day!
GOEX Black Powder...
It is no secret 2020 was terrible year with COVID-19! With that said, it was an outstanding hunting year!!
The season started again with a Colorado muzzleloader antelope tag. I was humbled on stalk after stalk. Anyone who has hunted them during the rut knows they are even more unpredictable...
I have been VERY slow in posting about the 2019 hunting season at the Busch house. The theme of 2019 was very quick and easy hunts, with fewer pictures than normal (this was remedied in 2020)!
The first hunt of the year was Colorado muzzleloader antelope. Before I even turned off the county...

I have a gold panning starter kit that I would rather give away on HT than bring to Goodwill. If your interested send me a PM and we can make arrangements.
These are pics taken during the rut anywhere from 1/4 to two miles from my house. The elk were on the hill across the street. There are also a few bears and herds of antelope around as well. I sure enjoy seeing the wildlife and thought I would share.
Have a great weekend!
