3-Year-Old Private Land Whitetail Doe Hunt Recap

All the ones I've shot have been in the vicinity of ag operations, so yeah I assume so. If I could only eat antelope, I'd be happy, but I've had incredibly poor luck in the draws. One buck and one doe in 6 or 7 years of applying. But we had anteloaf last night and it was phenomenal.

.....they'll come to kill an antelope doe, they'll see 20 antelope and think it's amazing, then move on to the next epic hunt in some other state.

    Let’s talk about the 243win

I'm on the same journey. With my in-line all I need is a bull elk (have killed a cow). Just started with my traditional BP and technically have killed a whitetail buck so far, even if I thought it was a doe when I killed it 😅.

    Antelope...Lets See Them!!!

Great bucks Kurt! Just curious if you’ve taped them since I still struggle judging antelope?

    Wyoming Guided Hunts Success Rates

If a person has killed a lot of them or looking for a particular buck it seems possible. May be a situation of multiple tags? I used to hunt with a good friend from AZ who only filled his doe tag, or tags about half the time. If he shot a nice buck first thing, he rarely filled a doe tag. I'm...

Apparently there are some other crazy’s that were willing to pay the special price for antelope and it didn’t drop enough.🤷‍♂️ My son drew a doe tag in 32, will have to see if we make the trip for a single doe tag.

Drew my 1st Montana Speed Goat 🐐 Tag

As a chronologically challenged pronghorn hunter, I'm not that horny anymore, so a doe is fine for me. Number one criteria is for an alfalfa fed antelope ... good eating! Good luck out there, Chris. I know you will have fun.

    Other than Wyoming😁

I've hunted antelope all my life in Montana and I'm 67 years old. I took my granddaughter out on Sunday and saw 0 antelope on public land in a 90 mile loop north of Ryegate, area 516-20. I wanted her to experience the thrill of the hunt but failed miserably. Don't waste your time on Montaña...

    June 18…

Applicant after the winter of 2022: "I might just throw my doe tag away if I draw one, the Wyoming antelope herds are in bad shape. WGF should take a pause from doe tags." Same applicant in 2024: "Our group drew 8 doe tags! Gonna be a meat haul back to (state of your choice) with these new Yeti...

So I know you got tags in NM, WY , and of course CO. Where else you headed this year if you don't mind me being nosey?

3-Year-Old Private Land Whitetail Doe Hunt Recap

Not so much alfalfa here or enough to make much a difference. Definitely corn and soybeans. Lots of acorns too. Everyone says corn fed deer is best but I've had them where natural browse was main food source and found those to actually be better.

Drew my 1st Montana Speed Goat 🐐 Tag

Well, I made my loop and got above where those antelope disappeared to, but they were long gone, but I did enjoy the hike and a lot of this you can’t see from the road so I like having them picture in my head what the ground looks like, my truck is parked in those trees and those antelope were...

Wyoming $75 NR application fee proposal and more...

    Wyoming wallet alert

Treecarp spouting the NR whining already on this thread? FFS. They'd fix the entirety of their problems tying prices to inflation or increasing them, talking about the R fees/prices. A doe antelope tag should cost more than a pack of nicotine.

    My 2024 Iowa season

Been really busy lately so haven't done any outdoor activities lately but did check Wyoming results this morning. My boys and their buddy drew type 1 antelope tags, and I struck out on my doe tag.

2024 WY pronghorn, deer, and R elk draw

Couple antelope tags, couple doe/fawn WTD tags, cow elk tag, and general deer and elk. My excitement grew as I scrolled down and saw Successful under deer, only to remember I put general as a second choice, haha.
