Yea honestly I haven't looked since I was a resident and it has been a few years. That's too bad. I could always rely on grabbing a leftover tag only a few years ago.
Leftover Colorado mule deer licenses can be a good idea. Usually there are plenty of buck and doe licenses available and you've got a good shot at taking one.
I think Nesvik will likely have to recuse himself from any discussion on delisting G bears. At this point, I think it is important that hunters take a close look at the recent USFWS Grizzly bear proposal and focus on the 4(d) rule. It won't be a delisting, but if we can get 4(d) rule language...
Geez, Happy Friday to you too, Randy! Unfortunately, DOGE has been acting without really thinking about the implications of their actions. Living in an area surrounded by public land we've seen many many folks lose jobs, then be hired back, but ultimately not really know what the next day holds...
So true, some of the 'open' stuff on OnX is actually head high oak brush that is virtually impassable! Also, saw one of the biggest bears I have seen on opening morning of first rifle. Grab a bear tag!
Curious as to what non-carnivore foods you have reintroduced that are making you feel that way. Hunting on carnivore would be tough unless you planned to live off the land. Lots of jerky/salami and cheese I'd guess.
OH man, I forgot about Ghost and the Darkness. What a gem of a film. Top Gun is likely my most watched movie of my life. Up there with Jaws. I could go for another viewing.
I'm not saying you shouldn't, just saying that you should be very certain of where the corner actually is if it isn't marked. GPS can be off a few feet and that may be all it takes to be tresspassing and landowners may be a little bit more vigilant now that they expect a lot of people to be...
Yes, because the judge cited the Unlawful Enclosures Act (federal law) and determined that it (obviously) trumps Wyoming state law. This is quite the precedent for opening up corner crossing outside of the 10th circuit, which is a pretty conservative court.
I'm not sure I'd rely on corner crossing. You gotta be very very sure of where the corner actually is, which is likely different than your GPS, OnX, etc. Landowners will likely be pretty vigilant I'd guess.
I have an ARE and it is great although it freezes shut in the winter/spring when there is melt/thaw. Mostly because there is a rubber lining that goes over the tailgate. That's not particular brand issue though. They are dang spendy. I think mine was close to 3k and I got only a few options. Try...
For random storms you don't need anything all that burly and heavy. I also wouldn't focus on just hunting brands. The Outdoor Research helium is pretty good. It is super light and pretty thin, so not the best for busting brush. I also like the OR Foray stuff. A little burlier but still quite light.
