    Round In The Chamber

I'm hunting, I need a bullet to shoot a deer. I wait all year to hunt public land and I'm not missing a chance on a good deer I just jumped up because I didn't have a round in it. I unload when climbing something steep or dangerous then reload once I'm over that. Also if hoisting the rifle up...

Is the 300 WSM still a viable choice of caliber?

Why not a 300 wm? I'd personally pick the 300 prc. Just because the chamber specs and everything being so tight and already designed around high bc bullets.

    Healthy eats

It's state by state, i hope bobby will lighten the reins on it soon. In virginia we do a herd share. So I own a portion of the cow and go pick up "my" milk each week. I like it so much if we're out I'll just make coffee with straight water I don't enjoy store milk as much

    Nightforce caps or cover

My thoughts on a cover is if it's that bad weather the rifle itself shouldn't be in it. Also the whole need to remove it and can loose it thing. Just a preference thing.

    Nightforce caps or cover

I prefer caps, quicker to remove and can't loose em. I use the aluminum ones leupold has. They are great quality. Not sure how the nightforce ones are. I like keeping rain off my scope but can swing it up for a quick shot and with hands in normal spots can pop the caps open.

    Healthy eats

I was on a cholesterol med and BP meds. I changed what I ate and monitored my own BP. After 6 months or so and 60 pounds I went in for my annual checkup. The dr checked my bp and bloodwork and said it all looked perfect, I was doing great. I said this good because I took myself off both meds a...

    Healthy eats

I too find it a thousand times easier to be in control of my health by bringing my food with me for lunch. Generally something very simple with no garbage in it and if more than one ingredient only 3 or so. Like cottage cheese, meat, organic fruit, something along those lines.

Ultralight Block and Tackle (a neat product and a DIY Hack)

I made myself a set out of small flat bar, a 1/4" grade 8 bolt, and ball bearing pulleys that are cheap and easily found at lowes or home depot (meant for sliding rear glass doors). Perfect size for paracord. They're designed to hoist a deer to be able to butcher it and pack out the meat if deep...

    Scope looks canted

Your missing it, if bubble shows level but it's not actually level, then it's not level. Right?

    January Inflation

I'm not worried. The leveling of the playing field via tariffs is going to hugely benefit us. Not to mention saving billions if not trillions in cut out fraud and abuse and waste. Everyone scared if tariffs seems to forget EVERYONE else already tariffs us heavily! Look at what Canada tariffs us...

    Salary & benefit negotiations

Sometimes you have not if you ask not. It took me years of dealing with companies and changing positions to learn. Once moved jobs, took a .40 pay cut. Why? I sucked at valuing myself. That company sold out, hr from new company wanted to give me 2 weeks vacation, I said I want 3, he said I...

    Scope looks canted

Did you verify the accuracy of the level your using? Either against a known good level (Stabila) or by putting it on a perfectly flat surface, not necessarily level, reading the bubble, you then flip it 180 degrees. An accurate level will read exactly the same both ways. This is how you check...

    Bullet seating coal differences

The thing is the dies press the bullet in from the tip. So coal should be the same for them all right? I never check after setup. I check coal when setting my dies up to get my off the lands set. Then they're the same after that. I imagine the ogive might vary a tad

    Pistol hunting

Nice. If it's hotter then the casul, that's a cannon. I'd imagine you'd be fine with grizzlies and moose

    Pistol hunting

Between the two cartridges I'd be more concerned with the gun itself. Getting it in my favorite platform. You can get whatever high quality ammo you want for both. And I believe the 44s more than enough for blackbears and deer. Really just comes down to what you want

    Pistol hunting

Slightly, but buy and shoot what you want and enjoy it. Especially if you reload. Reloading and revolvers go together like they were made for eachother. If your buying factory ammo only you may want to consider the cost and availability of factory ammo and think about practicing too. Reloading...

    FS Bowtech Assasin

I sold a 2011 bowtech assassin in good shape on CL last year for 100 bucks. Any more and it would've just sat forever on CL like everyone's bows at 300+ relisting month after month. I say keep it for a backup or for a bowfishing bow. Trying to nicely say the assasins sold for 500ish when brand...
