    Blending powders

I've duplexed loads for our smokeless muzzleloaders. I absolutely love it. More reliable, more accurate, but a huge pain. I've heard the same things about some of the new powders like superformance and also the one about weatherby. The only guy I've ever heard talk about mixing had a chamber...

    Coyotes at night

Schmaltz sells AGM thermals and I've bought 2. Its expensive but worth it vs night vision. I agree with HW, no lights ever.

    Gatlinburg vacation

Trout fishing is good. If you want stockers, the Cherokee reservation is the spot. If you are a more technical fisherman, go to the park.

    Peacock bass around Miami FL

We've gotten into some accidentally. Lots of areas in the canals around Miami have em. Take the boat and do an Airbnb. Lots of em have security fence to protect your stuff. We were in key largo last summer and had the same concerns. Heck, you may find a house with canal access.

Loose dogs on the hunting property

Full disclosure, my dogs were the ones on our neighbors causing trouble this fall. He was really pushed out of shape because he kept getting his target buck on camera at the same time three days in a row. Then enter my dogs. Got em chained up and eventually bought a gps collar and it works...

Kenetrek Boots 20-50% off until November 30, 2024

I've been wanting to try a pair for years but don't have a place to try on for size. How do these compare to Danner or Mendl sizing?

“Alone” season 11 on History channel Thursday nights

I never thought William would make it that far. He had so many mistakes with losing food. Then all or a sudden he hit his stride and finished like a champion. It was a fun season to watch for sure. The mental side is still the part you just can't prepare for.

    Kayaks?

Check out waterways USA. They have several brands they market. I have the angler 120 and love it. If I had to do it over I'd get the pedal drive but I opted for paddle and mounted a trolling motor. With five in the family it takes a bit to get set up. The kayaks are probably the most...

    VA public land buck

Depends on pressure and mast crop. Find food and places they can get away from people. And obviously the travel corridors like brushy draws between those two places.

    Reduced recoil bullet selection

I worry the other two won't open up and perform well. I used to use Remington's reduced recoil loads and I didn't think they did very well. Switched to Hornady and was shocked at the on game performance.

Well, it's not good. Not religious but prayers are welcomed.

So sorry for the loss man. There's little I can say for comfort but I certainly will be saying a prayer for all of you. Her suffering is over so that is a blessing. You've got to find a new normal and that will take time. God Bless you Dave, you are an inspiration to everyone on this forum.

I'll echo the positive comments on hospice.

Dang, I have no words but you will be in our prayers.

    custom rifle suggestions

I've got advise, if you want sonthing, do it and don't listen to what anyone else tells you because it's a CUSTOM gun. Not a gun that everyone agrees with. I listened to way too many opinions on my first one and it made me feel comfortable at the time, while spending that kind of money. I've...

Open fields under fire in another state

A few years ago on opening day of dove season two game wardens came on our farm. They checked hunters twice and drove around our farm. They parked at every visible stand I assume checking for bait which required quite a bit of effort on their part. I was working and saw them coming out and...

    Any hog farmers on here?

Be aware that they can lift very heavy stuff. Don't give them any room to get a snout under anything. I would attach the panels to the concrete. They are probably the easiest animal to feed out. You can pretty much give them anything to feed them. Just figure the ration based on grain and...
