Bear of a lifetime
CA Bear from last fall. Such a great challenge chasing this guy for several years. 19.75” skull. Probably weighed around 400 lbs. Rendered a ton of fat and ground a pile of meat. Extremely tasty- jlong17

Wyoming is the best state I’ve ever hated. It’s the only place that sucks the life out of me for 7/12 months of the year with there drawn out game applications. But my goodness, that one month of the year (when I actually draw) sure is fun.- jlong17

WY elk 2025 draw results
The draw odds were not helped by the endless “content” on Wyoming this spring. Every influencer on the interwebs kept persuading the public to put in. And many of those guys even talked up the general tag specifically. I think these draw odds popped the Covid bubble theory- jlong17

It seems to be a delicate balance of supporting people that want to preserve your right to use the weapons you hunt with, and those that want to preserve your right to hunt that very land with those weapons.... does that make sense?- jlong17
