My mom got a two year RN degree, going to community college in the evenings, while me and my siblings were young. She did quite well as a nurse. Definitely a good return on investment.
Sorry for your loss Caleb. I lost my dad and hunting partner to cancer almost 3 years ago. I think about him every time I get in the woods. Passing along your dad's heritage of getting others involved in the outdoors is a great way to honor his legacy and pass on what he taught you.
I think you can add the preference point to your application after you add deer/elk combo. If not applying for deer/elk combo, And just want the point I believe that option is open later in the year.
I was surprised seeing them strutting over the last week on my way to work. I guess when the snow melts they start getting excited! My nephew really wants to go this year, so I am going to try to help him get one. Never have turkey hunted much, but have a few calls and a cheap decoy.
If the surroundings are all low brush, I wouldn't go very high. Just a little height will open up a lot more shot opportunities where you can shoot down over the brush. It's a good idea to put up some camo netting or something to offer some concealment if staying low though.
I put a Meopta Optika 5 on my 22-250. Z plus reticle is basically a BDC reticle, but I really like the center of the cross hair is a very fine dot making a very precise aiming point.
