    New scope for my 22-250?

SWFA 10x, only because the 6x aren’t available yet. These will set you back about $350. If you’d rather have a variable scope, then the SWFA 3-9x42 is hard to beat for $600.

To Flute or not to Flute?

Personally, I don’t like the looks of a fluted barrel, so I would never have it done. My lightweight rifles are my Remington Model Sevens. I’m really fighting the urge to buy the Howa Carbon Stalker in 6 ARC or 6.5 Grendel. That rifle is supposed to be sub 5 lbs bare rifle. 🤯

    Gobble gobble Spring Turkey 2025

I’ve never killed anything called a tom, but have killed several gobblers. I’ve killed a limit(5 that season) of double bearded gobblers and one year killed a gobbler with double spurs on each leg. The spurs measured 1” and the second spur was 1/4” for both legs. I’ve killed several with no...

    Lets unite!

The time change doesn’t bother me at all. If you had to pick one, it would obviously be the regular time and not daylight savings time. Getting dark earlier in the winter is awesome.

    Round In The Chamber

Seems dumb not to have one in the chamber while hunting.

    Losses at the Forest Service

How did they get all those folks to work all those years for terrible pay and only find out at the end of their careers that there wasn’t any retirement? Surely, they noticed it wasn’t being taken out of their checks.

    Bullet seating coal differences

Base to ogive is inconsistent, as well. None of it matters. I kept reading about base to ogive measuring was the only way to do it. Well, I learned that that wasn’t true. I don’t even worry about the ogive measurement anymore. I measure COAL and rock on. Neither of those two types of...

    Choke questions

There are other forums like gobbler nation and old gobbler that has lots of gun/choke/shell combo patterns with pics of their patterns. Odds are somebody is shooting what you are wanting to shoot. Personally, I shoot an Indian Creek .555 choke in my Rem 870 Youth 20ga. I get a consistent 300...

    What are you currently reloading?

Yes. Some folks use a hand drill, but I went the drill press route. I don’t think I would have liked using a hand drill.

    What are you currently reloading?

In the next couple of days I can be found at my drill press loading TSS turkey loads.

Arrow Building Software vs Chat GPT

I haven’t had any issues getting good info from the internet, personally. Search engines haven’t jammed me up as much as it apparently does some folks. 🤷‍♂️

Congrats to him. Would you go with the 6 PRC, if you had to do it over again?

    Short barrel keeper loads??

It’s my understanding that they took the 20 grains from the front half. That makes the jacket thicker.

    Short barrel keeper loads??

I’ve had great luck with exits and performance with 120 grain NBTs in my 7-08. That 120 grain bullet is stouter than alot of folks realize.

    Short barrel keeper loads??

Dang it. What do you think you’re gonna try next?

    Short barrel keeper loads??

That could be. The only elk I’ve killed had an exit, though. Same with my mule deer buck. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Short barrel keeper loads??

It is very odd for me to not get an exit with a AB.

    Short barrel keeper loads??

I didn’t get an exit. Both were quartering to me shots, so I guess it was to be expected with a softer bullet. However, I kinda figured it would exit. I feel like the regular ABs would have exited. The ABLR were very accurate and I may keep using them, but for longer ranges like they were...
