Maybe this will revive this again..... My girlfriend and I both drew the cow tag this year. Would really like to just concentrate during archery season, so if anyone has hunted it in the last year or two and cares to share any info, it would be much appreciated. Sounds like we may be able to get...
Hey all, its been awhile since I've been on here, but I just thought I'd share this information. The NWTF has a membership base of around 225k, and a very strong voice in DC. Our primary membership is in the Midwest and East (although I'd like to build up our western membership), which I think...
Was just out there last weekend with NWTF volunteers looking at prescribed fire projects we have been helping fund. It all looked nice and green. Antler growth should be good!
I agree with John. I lived just a few miles from there last year it gets pressured hard. Its great looking habitat, but just too small of an area for unlimited hunters.
Anyone have experience with these? They sound like a durable, early season boot and they are on Camofire currently. Would a guy be better off breaking down and getting a more rugged boot?
I was on their Pro Staff for years and absolutely loved the pattern. I used it for everything from treestand whitetails to waterfowl, to western KS antelope. The only issue I ever had was that the durability was sub par, and if you were fairly active, the weight of the cold weather clothes...
Not sure if this is the best place for this, but thanks Fin for giving me the OK. The Montana NWTF chapters had some special rifles made up for banquets this year, and one got shipped a little late. So here is what we are doing with it. Only 100 tickets available, $20 each, and a second winner...
I know there are quite a few folks on here from Montana, so I thought this would be a good place to let the ladies know about this event. Check out the raffle at the bottom of the flyer also. Let me know if you have any questions.
I just moved away from KS under 2 years ago, and I know this was being talked about a lot. My only fear now is that those guides will lease up even more private ground, and pay landowners even more now. We shall see.
A lot of folks, especially in the west, don't often know or hear about some of the way the NWTF stays active in forest management. Here is a recent article on the testimony that the Chief Conservation Officer gave to the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources...
These are on Camofire for just a bit longer. Anybody have any experience with these? Do they hold up well, comfortable grips, etc. I will be doing my first backpack hunting in the backcountry this fall, and I know I need some trekking poles. Thought I'd jump on this deal if its worth it...
Hopefully the picture works. This is a quick summary of some hunts that our volunteers from Billings and Livingston helped put together. I believe we had 6 of the 8 kids kill their first birds. Some of these kids have never even hunted, so this was pretty awesome. I had the pleasure of taking a...
Transfer from KS to Helena here. Moved here in Feb after living by Billings for a year. Best info on regulations I can give is to just read everything, and do the research. The info is there, just have to make sure you find it.
Being from PA, are you turkey hunters? I am also the Regional...
Hey folks, I know there are a few Montana people on here so I just wanted to let you all know that this Friday the 15th we will be holding our annual fundraising banquet. We haven't had in a few years here so our ticket sales are pretty slim. If you know of anyone interested, please let them...
