I couldn’t exaggerate if I wanted to. I check my shooting lanes. A 180” whitetail we’ve been hunting stepped out at 45yds. My arrow hit a twig that hid behind my sight. The ONLY twig. I’ve never even seen a deer this big.
I’ve never felt this level of devastation and despair. I’m moving to...
Well I am now getting regular refreshes with Out of Stock, so maybe that's the case. Pretty ridiculous and ineffective that I didn't even get a chance to try for a tag until over an hour after the release time.
This sucks as now we are 25min past the opening time, it's a free for all and complete unknown as to when tags will actually be available, how many are left, when to check back in, etc. With the tag reduction down to 2800 this year, I have no idea if/how to get this done now. Sweet!
Great question and I have wondered the same. Obviously the suppressor makes some noise, but in my experience it doesn't scare animals off. The biggest variable would be how far the wolf was when I shot the coyote. In 45min that wolf could have covered several miles and he wouldn't have heard the...
I am strongly considering this. My initial vision if this were to ever happen was exactly this. Somehow feels a little more clean and classy. I dunno, it's obviously a personal choice, and I have some thinking to do.
Yeah good point. I downloaded an academic paper on using dentition to age them, going to give it my best shot and have the taxidermist do the same. Looking at the teeth off hand it doesn't strike me as a particularly young or old wolf either way.
Yeah huge! I’ve seen them a few times while hunting, and in the national parks, but obviously never this close. The yote really shows it. The head is freaking massive.
