Sounds like a lot of miscommunication between you and your guide. Not saying you were to blame at all. If you’re paying for a hunt you should get what you pay for. Personally I’d hunt Colorado over Idaho, more elk and at least less wolves for the moment. I used to live and hunt in Colorado and now live and hunt in Wyoming. I used to live in Colorado. It depends on what part of the state you will be hunting, at least that was my experience. Colorado weather seems to be very hit or miss depending upon the year.
