    Nice. We rarely see woodies here in MT. I was down in your part of the world last Jan hunting with my buddy for woodies, mottled and bluewings. Was nice getting out of the snow and cold.

    We never target hens, but occasionally someone doesnt pick a clear shooting lane and one eats it, which no one wants to admit too....one of the oops hens was banded this yr and everyone wanted to claim it. lol

    Have fun on the journey. Im taking my wife and daughter to central FL this spring to finish up their slams this spring. My son finished his in TX last spring. The eastern is prob the easiest to notch. The are the most common of the subspecies and theres plenty of public land with them on it...

    A first for me

    Thats not a hybrid. just a drake with some hormone issues, prob an older bird. I see a couple a yr similiar to that.
