I've been really impressed with the Meoptas that I've looked through and can be found for under 1k used. The one pair of mavens I looked through seemed to have a blue tint if I remember right and preferred the Meoptas
You’re spot on. Working some OT in my professional career would be far more lucrative but I’m trying to find a way to be less reliant on working for the man. And it was a good excuse to buy some tools and equipment for the garage lol
That's actually how I came across the idea. I was with some locals in AZ and they did the same. I was so blown away by it that I wanted to be able to do it anywhere.
Yep goes right on the ground. Outside stays cool to the touch so you don't have to worry about killing the grass or anything like that. Sounds like a silly idea but I've yet to have someone sit in the chair and not have an instant smile on their face
Been making charcoal fueled camp chair heaters for a few years. Hasn't really been profitable yet but that should change this year as my processes improve and I add accessories. I had some carrying cases sewn up last year that they helped sales tremendously
You're truly surprised that a manufacture would artificially inflate their numbers?
How far are you comfortable shooting at animals? I'm going to go out on a limb and say more than likely, 400 and in. If that's the case, you can shoot almost anything out there. I know I've spent...
I would not suggest adjusting your scope height to get your drops to line up. That is a measured number and will not change.
The only variable one should consider tweaking is BC and velocity. If you put correct info into a solver and your scope works as it should, your numbers will be very close.
Sturgeon fishing is one of my favorite things to do. Something often overlooked is that you don't always have to fish them in deep water with heavy tackle. Around Astoria you can catch them around the tide flats with light gear. We've caught them in as little as 2-3' of water. The last trip I...
I don't chase elk with a rifle that often but this year it'll probably be either the 6.5x47 with a 130 berger hybrid or 22 creed with an 88 eldm or 80 eldx
I actually find it really interesting that people can't look at data objectively and come to a logical conclusion. How many times have people here thrown out a recommendation for a 7-08 or 308 and will then turn around and bash a 6.5 or 6mm. Is there really that much difference between them? And...
Our quote was from a contractor that came highly recommended and we have had comparable quotes from the lumber yards around us. Quotes have ranged anywhere from 10k-25k just for the windows depending on brand/model. We have original windows from the 50's so anything would be a huge improvement.
I feel your pain. We have been looking at doing windows for a few years and just got an anderson quote. One of the big windows is almost $1900. And that's just their 100 series, nothing special. Definitely stings a little...
Are you taking it to the same gunsmith that installed it? If you are, I would find a new one. That is absolute garbage and opening it up is not the answer. The barrel needs to be cut back and rethreaded.
