The 3.5 has the rattle that people are mentioning and the older ones are known for timing chain issues as well. They can chew through spark plugs in 25-30k miles too. Just replaced mine this week due to misfire issues. I’m not sure I would buy another 3.5
The people that actually NEED drugs is pretty small. The people that are prescribed drugs is astronomical. Our society is under educated and over prescribed...
Unfortunately I fall into the 41+ category. I've drawn blood on 7 elk and not recovered 3 of them. I think there are a number of factors that have played into it but overconfidence and messing with my setup too much has been a big part of it.
Bull #1 was a relatively steep downhill shot at ~50...
I was that way for a long time. I first tried the gutless by cutting down the spine like you see posted everywhere but it just felt super awkward for me. Then I tried it by going up the belly like I normally would but without opening the cavity up and it was much better. Saves a little time and...
That’s good to hear. That was coming from a buddy that has used them for a long time and used to be a dealer for them. Either way, I think think spot Hogg makes a better sight
I’ve heard that since black gold got bought out their customer service has not been as good. I would take a spot hogg over black gold having shot both brands. I think it’s hard to beat the durability and pin adjustment of a spot hogg
My dad used to let out a Tarzan yell when we would get to a downed animal. Not quite sure where it came from but I plan on continuing it when my son is old enough to hunt
There's a huge part of your state where they could have a big impact and would even be useful in the panhandle. A handheld scanner can make it waaaaaay easier to find game.
I looked at the regs yesterday and did not see anything about thermal scanners. I agree they would not be able to be used as a scope but it does not address the issue of people being able to use them to find game. I saw the section about artificial light but in my opinion that does not apply to...
Loaded for a 22-250 a long time ago and can't remember the recipe. It was a 1-12 or 14 and we ran 40 grain Nosler ballistic tips through it if I remember correctly. Don't over think it.
Low rings with the rail should be fine. V-max, TMK, eldm, and the eldvt would probably all be good coyote medicine. I only have first hand experience with the the 55 grain vmax on coyotes though. They work well.
