Man I have missed a lot as I have not been on here for a while. My condolences to ya man on all aspects. Hey! I have got an old Dwight Shu pack in perfect shape with a peak one pack frame you can have. I didn't like it cause it wouldn't pack the kind of weight I needed it to. It will pack...
Fullabull:
Nassel is down in the far south west corner of washington. It is accross from Astoria Oregon.
The Columbia river separates the two. Nassell is on the North side of the river. Actually I read of someone posting the Long Island area that is relatively close to Nassell. It is less than a...
Fullabull:
The Nassel area down south is full of elk right now and there are some pretty flat areas to hunt that are close to the town. I would strongly suggest at least looking at this and some of the surroundoing areas as it has been producing some real nice bulls the last few years...
Rogue 6: You bring up some very good points. The one thing I thought interesting was your point about the terrain. The humps and bumps, crooks and crannys, broken up ground, full of winfalls that are so big-you need a ladder to get over them, not to mention the rats nest that is all but...
Nice bull for sure. That has got to be a permit bull doesn't it? That is a classic--driving right to it. Maybe I just need a new truck to improve my pack out. :D ;) Washington huh??
Hey Kirkl, how goes the battle? Easter weekend would be a great time to swing over and shoot the breeze. I'll e-mail you too, but my number is 425-308-2048. Give me a ring anytime.
Thanks for the congrats guys-I was surprised to see him score that well but definately am not complaining...
Hey Russ, how goes the battle?
You know---I have thought about this for quite some time and I really don't know which one I think is harder.
On one hand you have the rocky that is much more vocal and easy to locate by sound. They are not as easy to locate by track as the roosevelt.
The hunting...
Rock and roll baby!!! Lock and load!!! If that don't get your blood pumpin nothin will. That little pussy cat looks like it needs one hell of a crack on the ass!! That always gets em goin. :D
Ya Kraven, that was one of the three I had there! They didn't put those out front until they scored them. There were a lot of racks there so they were putting all the first place racks out as they scored them.
That's fricking scary. My little bow would look like a toy and probably stick like a toy!! I dont think their trees are big enough to get a guy as high as he would need to be not to become a snack for those studs.
I posted the story on 9-26-03 but here is a copy of it. There are a few more pics on that post if you go back in the archives.
We started out in a new area this year. My partner flew in on the 11th, and as luck would have it he was sicker than a dog when he arrived. We spent the next two days...
Hey Kraven; How goes the battle? Long time no talk. Which one did ya see? I had three of em there. I had two roosevelt and one rocky, a blacktail and a bear. I did ok there. My bear ended up scoring 20 7/16, the rocky 332 gross and 322 net. One roosevelt scored 301 gross and 294 net. The other...
The biggest I have ever seen had 7 on one side and 9 on the other. I was friggin deer huntin so I took a pop shot anyway! Dropped him right where he stood. When I went back the next elk season to tag him he was gone. Hell of a way to loose a trophy bull!! That same year I killed my trophy bear...
Is there a chance that these animals could effect the health of the wild population?
Will proper control and management be the leading concern--or will monetary values?
Would a person be willing to loose money for the safety of other animals they do not own?
My thought is unless one is...
The bottom line is:
Is there a chance that these animals could effect the health of the wild population?
Will proper control and management be the leading concern--or will monetary values?
Would a person be willing to loose money for the safety of other animals they do not own?
Weather a...
