Deer hunting partner in Southern California/ zone D11 -13-15
I've hunted those zones. Rifle and archery but only a few times. I go to other zones. 7, 8, 14, 16 or 17. Most are premium zones nowadays. Hope you were able to get out there.- kevine001

Had my '73 K5 several years ago. Long since sold it. Had a mildly built 350 with about 5k miles on it, 2 stage flowmaster, 6" lift on 35's with old school polished aluminum 15's. Even had a train horn.- kevine001

Soft Topper?
I had a soft top on my old '73 K5 blazer full convertible. I know, it's not quite the same so many the truck guys can chime in. Yes, I made my own arrow cutter that I can spin my arrow shaft on in order to make a straight cut. Works perfectly -
Truck bed camp.
To respond to the questions about spiders and heat/warmth. Have not had any spiders, now going on 4 years sleeping in back of my Tundra crew max. Broadhead Selection
I switched to Killer Bee Stinger 2. Double blade fixed. I like them because of how accurate they are for my set up. I'd recommend trying as many as you can afford to see which ones work the best (most accurately) from your bow set up. -

Thinking of switching from fixed blade to mechanical broadheads
I use to carry Rage mechanicals with a couple G5 Montecs in case there was any brush or grass in the way. The mechanicals flew straighter IMO. The Montecs just pushed through stuff better. I've now switched to fixed two blade. Best of both worlds. I'm running the 100g Stingers. Not the... -
