I came across a pound of Accurate Magpro and knowing it was made for magnums and wsm’s I picked it up. I’ve got a new Christensen Ridgeline in 300wsm and new nosler brass, 165 and 150 gr Barnes TTSX’s, 165gr Interlocks, and 165gr Sierra prohunters all on the bench. Anybody got a favorite load to...
I have always loved the mountain rifle. There has been a brand new one in 6.5 on the shelf at my local sportsmans for like a year and a half or more and it tempts me every time I see it. Nice rifle.
My oldest son is 7 and I have 2 younger ones behind him. I bought him a Ruger American compact in 243 last year and had a Leupold 2-7x33 in the safe without a home, they paired up nicely together. I let him break it in with the Hornady reduced recoil loads and then he hunted with the 95gr...
I have a superlite in 06 and had a T3 in 300 win. The 300 was a little bit stout for my liking but was plenty accurate. From my experience I would think with the weight differences in the superlite and the t3x that my 06 and a 7mm would be close to the same on recoil. I can handle it no problem...
I just picked up a 300wsm also. I found some 150 fusions online and also some 165 Hornady American whitetail. I picked up 50 pieces of nosler brass off midwayusa and a box of 150 Barnes TSX’s and a box of 165 TTSX’s. I would be happy with either for whitetails a d will just see which one comes...
So far it’s a tikka T3 superlite in 06. Factory 165 accubonds usually go into .5-.75 at 100 but I have got them down to .3 once. I have a new Christensen Ridgeline in 300wsm in the safe as we speak that I have yet to shoot but have high expectations for.
My 7yr old son shoots the federal fusion 95gr out of his Ruger American. It’s the perfect load for him right now with a nice middle ground between recoil and performance. I’m planning on working up a 95gr partition handload for it this or next year depending on availability of components and time.
I know 2 guys with the VXR and they says it’s as great as advertised. I shoot mathews and probably will stay with them in the future but wouldn’t be opposed to trying something else.
I personally know 3 people that have put down deposits on the Tesla Cyber truck. I drive 50 miles one way each day and have seen a dramatic increase in Tesla’s and even more Toyota hybrids on the road this year.
I don’t own a Howa, but my dad has a S&W 308 made by Howa. It has been a great gun, despite a recall years ago I believe. I have owned and still own a couple of Tikkas. My T3 superlite in 06 is super accurate. I have replaced most of the plastic on my T3 because I am a perfectionist only as it...
I’m really happy with my current rifle setups. But, I do believe if I were to have to start all over again from scratch, I would look strongly at a Ruger American rifle in whatever caliber I wanted and then spend some $$$ on a decent scope, a Vx3i or higher quality probably, and finally like...
A bunch of my buddies have ran coon dogs pretty much our entire lives. Get a good set of tracking collars, a dog box for the truck, a lightweight 22, some dog leads, and a bright high quality headlamp with a spot and flood setting. Then get you a couple of dogs, preferably finished dogs already...
I got this big boy yesterday morning. I started off on a farmers tip on where they had been roosting which involved a pre dawn excursion around an 80 acre wheat field that should have put me silently in their hip pocket. At daylight, this joker sounded off from a roost on the ridge 500 yards...
