what do you know about a $2000 Mt. lion bounty there in new mexico? i just heard about this today but couldn't get any details. is this for hired guns only or can the average "joe" get in on this too?
thanks bcat!! there is a guy in northern california that hunts with hounds but the guy won't return my e-mails or phone calls. jason lee used a guide her in california? or just hunt?
bcat, you being an outfitter, do you think it is effective or more of a waste of time? after i posted this i talked to a guy that flies a bit an he wasn't sure that i'd see much flying around. he also said something about "lazy kids these days..."! LOL
has anyone ever tried to scout with an airplane? i am taking my first flight lesson this weekend and was wondering how practical it would be to fly around an area looking for game.
personally i have a FOXPRO and love it! i mostly have used the cottontail distress with some success as far as bring them in. i just need to learn to be patient!! from what i hear the woodpecker is suppose to be a real good sound also. i'll have to try it sometime.
if i shoot an "average" size pig and take it to the butcher what can i expect to get? i want hams, porkchops, ribs, ect.. is a boar or sow better? and i remember reading that with the bigger the pigs you can only get sausage, why? i don't really want a pig that will only give me sausage!
what do you northern or eastern guys do for a cold weather jacket? i currently use a sweatshirt under my cardhart jacket but it's alittle bulky and i feel stiff in the arms of the jacket.
calif. hunter the area i'm interested in is north fork meadow. how hard of a hike is it to this area? how long did it takeyou to hike to mineshaft flats? i think mineshaft is the "turn off" for north fork meadow, i just don't have my map here(at work) so i'm not sure. i will ultimatly be heading...
my name is dennis. i'm 29 and i have a wife and two kids. i am a inspector for a machine shop.
