Not much.... think all I had to cover was a couple of meals in the airport.... LOL. One of the perks of my job! LOL. That said, they are pretty proud of them deer down there.
Went with Top Shelf Outfitters.... Joe Surpenant. Good outfit, and would definitely recomend, but was apparently a tough year. Hopefully the big ones were just hiding and they will be out doing rutty Mule Deer things for you in January.
We ended up going 2 for 4 hunters but both were smaller than what the outfitter would normally like to see killed. That said, I killed my best buck and definitely appreciated the opportunity.
Had the opporutnity to check another country off my hunting bucket list this past week, and spent a great week in Sonora chasing Mule Deer........ Yeah my job is pretty cool.... LOL.
While not a physically challenging hunt.... it wasn't easy. Countless hours in the high rack and still hunting...
My little girl turns 21 in a couple months.... bit your video brought back lots of memories. First deer....first buck...biggest buck....sheep....antelope...bull...buffalo.....

No quail in MT.. at not a s a native game bird. Probably looking at one of the sharptail grouse. That we have plenty of. Would have been zero issue filling limits daily on those.... bit as table fair they are ok at best so try to limit the take.
And today we knocked off another mile stone.... we tackled the deep, cold and fast waters of the Mighty MO for our first Greenhead of the year!! Water was moving faster than I expected.... and I am sure it was colder than he expected.... but damned if he didn't dive in there and chase that...
Followed shortly by his first mallard and teal in super thick cattails. Little guy bailed in and rooted em out of that jungle.... no quit in him. Just gotta find that bird.......
