Thanks again for the input Bret.
Yes, the local dealer just put in their order trying to get as many as they can for June delivery. Already have people putting down deposits.
Awesome, thanks guys!! Yes, sounds like you all have similar goals and uses as I’d have and that the Pioneer 3 seater fits the bill.
I’d spend the most time using it around the property, hauling feed, moving things etc., but certainly want to be able to use it for easier forest/BLM road...
Hi Guys,
Bit late to this thread, but curious your experience with the Pioneer 1000 on rough forest roads, washboard and potholes?
Being more on the "utility" side of the sxs field, how stiff is it compared to a truck, other sxs you've tried etc.?
Thanks,
S
No love for ticks here and have dealt with them a lot where I used to train. This works pretty well:
1. Permethrin all clothes, backpack, tent/tarp
2. Wear long sleeve shirts and pants, even if 100+ degree weather (Outdoor Research echo half zip shirts and KUIU tiburon pants great for me in...
Good question. The limited unit is further from my house so during the week or weekend day hunts I'd like to hunt local general unit(s). Then when I can drive the distance to spend a few days I'd have the focused time in the Limited unit.
ps - this would be if the limited entry unit is not...
Hi All,
I tried some initial searches and apologize I didn't find the answer. If I draw a limited entry unit can I also hunt the general units?
Thanks,
Steve
Used the Neos Navigator this year in Wyoming and Montana. As mentioned, you wouldn't want to wear them in rough terrain, though they're surprisingly stable in flat or even mild hills. I thought I'd just use them in the truck or glassing, but did end up walking a bit in them and they did just...
Western Mountaineering with the gore windstopper on seat and knees.
I've found that I never will wear them if moving as I warm up quickly, not to mention that any puffy pant would shred unless more heavy than you'd want to deal with. So if glassing or in camp then it made sense to go thicker...
Thanks for the heads up. I'm definitely a big fan of training and take advantage of local competitions to get some in with even a tiny bit of pressure to perform in front of others and on the clock. I wonder if the co-witness iron sights (suppressor sights that are taller and see through the...
Thanks for the interest. Going in order of who contacted me and will reach out by pm.
PS - one caveat is that I need to receive confirmation of my new gun being shipped to me before I will accept funds and send this one of to the buyer. Just want to be sure I'm not left without a 10mm at this...
Hi All,
I love this gun as it feels great and is crazy accurate. After shooting a gun with a red dot, my 50 year old eyes decided it's a great idea. So I'm getting another XDM that's optic ready.
This one is only a couple weeks old with just about 300 rounds through it, without a single...
Pulled the trigger on the simple plan. Had 285/75/17 K02's installed on the stock 17" rims, for 33.9" diameter. They trimmed some for clearance and test fit with chains. If run chains just can't go full lock else it rubs on control arm, so I'll consider spacers or some decent priced wheels...
Sweet, thanks guys for confirming it works fine without issues. Love the idea of the flexibility so will look into getting the portable one.
Thanks,
Steve
Been looking at that winch option. Have you used it on both front/back? Any issues with the front hitch strength as I hear many are rated up to 9k lbs while folks tend to get a winch for a 3/4 ton in the 12k lb range?
I do like the option of keeping the winch out of the elements when not...
