Hey guys - figured we could centralize the shed hunting pics (kinda like the deer / elk / antelope threads). So here goes:
Went out yesterday with my buddy to an area I knew held some great deer. Had a lot of pics on the camera of a few dandy bucks and was keeping my fingers crossed that I'd...
If it's of any assistance, I think I still have a book on how to read topo maps when it pertains to hunting. Helps ID certain land arrangements that game would likely use. It's more for whitetail, but I am sure in more mountainy (is that a word?) areas, similar logic may apply. If interested...
okay so here is what my cousin's mom's treatment looked like. Avastin and cpt11 for chemo, radiation and gamma knife (pinpoint radiation). then switched the cpt11 to carboplatin because there was some growth and the new treatment stopped it.
Critter - that is definitely lousy news and our thoughts and prayers are with you and your buddy's family. Our cousin's mom was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and was given 6-12 months. She was around for 10 years after her diagnosis. She passed away about a month ago. Obviously...
Keep it up guys - I am 8 months in - complete game changer for me. I've never eaten better or felt better. I had a few set back along the way inc. a rotator cuff injury, but otherwise still rocking along. Keep after it. When I get up 5 days a week at 4:30am I want nothing more than to hit...
Only Mule Deer and Prong Horn to date - not sure what they scored - but I am plenty happy with these guys. Put down my best whitetail and first coyote with the bow this year - don't have pics on this computer but if I remember I'll post them.
Some great critters taken on this thread!
The cost of not getting your girl something will be much higher than getting her something. This I can assure you!!!!
I played golf on my first wedding anniversary. Yes, i know in retrospect it was a pretty bad idea (trying not to set the bar too high)... but here we are 7 years later and I...
Thanks Critter!!!! Yea he sure does try to make the most out of every day! He gets out and hunts as much as he can and spends good quality time with the family. He is on good meds that are helping (knock on wood). We are going on a bucket list hunt in 2015 with him up in the NWT for Musk Ox -...
Hi guys - my hunting buddy Jay was diagnosed a few years back with Multiple Sclerosis at the young age of (29). MS is a disease that attacks the central nervous system and interrupts the flow of information between the brain and body which eventually leads to loss of mobility.
It wasn't...
Best for me in 2012 was listening to my daughter learn to talk. Just hearing her say Dada was it for me.
On the hunting front, I bagged a bunch this year, mule deer, pronghorn and 2 whitetail, best memory was when I had THE 10 point coming in on a leash... wind was perfect.... he got to 60...
CIL Hunter - if you aren't going after critters bigger then deer - a jet sled works well. I used to use that before the hitch haul and never had a whitetail that wouldn't fit in it. Plus it doubles for ice fishing!
Dont rip on me too bad fellas but my Subaru Forester is my hunting rig. Yea I know, it's embarrasing but heck I have loaded more deer in that joker and have had the Mrs. mad at me more times than I care to remeber for it! To help combat the belly aching I threw a tow hitch/hitch haul on 2...
