By me over in southern NY mature bucks will drop pretty early, January/February. Some of the younger deer 4 or younger can hang on to them but I've never seen anything with horns after mid march..
I know Jess had posted a few times on the forum and after speaking with him and checking references a few buddies and I wanted to see what it was all about. Also a few people mentioned if any Hunt Talker ever went they'd like to know how it went -
Well let’s get a few things out of the way...

This is my favorite hunting pic from 2013, my favorite pic is my 2 yr old daughter holding the first fish she ever caught. Bluegill out of the same lake I caught my first fish out of!!! All cool stuff, and hoping to get her as hooked on fresh air as I am!

That is what is so special about hunting - you can get away from everything for a few hours. You are an exceptional friend and that will reap rewards!!!
Southern Connecticut. Snuck in the stand at 5am. Does showed up around 730. They were mulling around for about 30 minutes when they started acting spooky. I thought maybe they smelled me, but before long I heard the unmistakable swishing of a buck walking through the leaves. Well he got about 30...
Critter - couldn't agree more - the flavor is mild but very good! But when you eat the strap that is up toward the neck it's not short of shoe leather. But the flavor really is great.
yea he was like 9 1/2 on one side and 9 7/8 on the other. 5 1/2 bases... not that I cared about the size of whatever goat I took - they are all trophies!!!
