A little scouting
I guess I should hit the dirt and scout my unit. I was thinking antler growth was not that far along. It is truly tough to judge them. I guess length, mass wider than eye socket and then prong length. Ill probably just look for something big or ugly that I like! Great pictures and glad to... -

Thanks for the feedback FERMONT 15! It is tough to pull the plug on 10 points, but ultimately it sounds like a fun hunt! Let me know if you have any pointers. I was looking at the BLM area that borders unit 87. -

How was this hunt? I have 10 points in WY and am thinking of dropping them this year on 125? Did you see many bucks or bucks with age class? I have heard mixed reviews! -

I drew 051 deer muzzleloader deer.... I have archery hunted the wilderness area by Paradise Peak in 2015.... Are there any chucker hunters willing to give me some pointers.... I was looking into either staying with the wilderness area or switching to Hinkey Pass to the north... I plan to scout... -

McCall zone archery elk hunt.
Mainly, pressure and insuring there is a good population. Essentially, I just got the archery tag and plan to hunt unit 23. I plan on using the terrain and distance to get myself away from other hunters.... I am thinking of going Sept 10-20 to hit the rut... Using onxmaps I have been looking... -

I am going to head into unit 23 this year for archery elk.. I am thinking on French Creek Sams throne area, maybe the older burns to the west and northern facing slopes. If anyone knows anything that would be awesome!! Places to avoid, using the terrain to get away from people... I am not much...
