i tape the muzzle, but i do carry Bore-Snake it weight probably like 2 oz, i have one for whatever caliber i'm carrying that day.
i have use one once on my .22 while rabbit hunting when i slid and fell in some thick mud.
for $10 and virtually no weight penalty i highly recommend adding one to...
another vote for XTherm
I've had mine for 4 years now, no issues
that crinkly noise people mention is a non issue, as soon as you put your sleeping bag on it, it muffles any noise there was.
I'm 6' tall and use Long sleeping bags so i got Xtherm Long (25" wide / longer)
only thing i would...
even for Doe hunts there are like 3 or 4 units left that can be drawn as 2nd choice and those are all mostly private.
as stated earlier, doing 1st pick for PP and then hoping for 2nd choice as a sure thing is no longer an option pretty much
awesome,
my mailman comes at weird evening hours, so i've been checking mailbox few times every afternoon, neighbors must thing something shady is going on.
i really like this feature for lower elevation / flatter land hunting. it can be tough planning out glassing spots out on the plains, so this feature works really well.
serious question for anyone who may have closely followed the case.
has defense brought up WY laws around Water rights / floating over. could there be some precedent that if i can float over private property in 1' of water (without touching riverbed) i am 100% legal.
WY landowners own the land...
appreciate it, knowing that it's worth exploring is what i wanted to hear.
on the plus side i would not be looking at Mule deer as i get those in CO, so my interest is primarily WT Deer and Antelope focused.
sounds like i'll add it to my short list of states to check out in next 2 to 3...
ok i think i figured it out.
BH101 (any whitetail)
Overall 20.91% success based on Total Tags vs Total apps. so 1 in5 got a tag.
there are few diff ways to look at it.
Expected Success based on your PP and expected draw % vs Actual Success rate by PP level (it changes as technically someone...
hunting home state of colorado public lands only, i'd like to hear from someone who regularly hunts SD how do crowds compare?
as for access part: is there enough Walkin/BLM/NTFR lands to get out/stretch legs and get after some animas with a bow?
if YES, that would be worth it for me. i look at...
which brings me to my next and i guess final question on SD hunting:
is OTC access/walkins/public lands decent? on maps it looks like western/south western parts of the state have decent public access.
so is OTC archery for Deer or Pronghorn worth it?
thanks
i appreciate this, seeing real numbers really brings it back to reality, so i appreciate your breakdown.
i did see that they were changing to squaring, so ya not helping me.
would you say it's worth looking at OTC Deer Archery and OTC Antelope Archery?
are their walkins/public land decent...
perfect thanks. Speaking specifically for DEER:
do i need to pick 1 i'm interested in, or can i get PP's for more than just 1 type. lets say i want BH and West River, so i need to save up points for both and plan them / think of them as completely separate hunts?
one thing i did not see, is...
I've been looking at SD and hope to add it to my hunt list of states over next few seasons, read all instructions but am still not 100% clear on few things. can someone help clarify please?

Pronghorn - has OTC statewide Archery tag i can pick up anytime, correct?
Pronghorn -...
