    Diesel programmers and exhaust

I have a quirk where I have to drive every vehicle I own as fast as it will go just to see. After I deleted my ‘14 Duramax because of def repairs, I took it out set up at max power and the speed limiter off just to see. I stopped @ 140, 9000# truck in work trim on a bad road was enough for me...

Best anniversary/Labor Day weekend ever (bet you can’t top it!)

This is a long story, but I hope you will bear with me. It started Friday morning with my wife asking me what we were going to do for anniversary (Sunday was 13 years for us). I was going to have to drive up to Belleville IL for a part for my combine that morning and wasn’t sure what to say...

    Dove opener

as far as I know hemp seed is pressed for hemp seed oil. It is very similar to millet in size.

    Dove opener

The hemp is industrial, that is, it’s raised for it’s fiber and used for rope, composite lumber, and whatever else they make from hemp fibers. This was a seed variety we got by mistake though. Still researching if it has value in our area. The doves love it though. I bet we’ve shot over 650 off...

Anyone Want to Talk About Lonesome Dove (Book)?

One of, if not my favorite of all time.

    Dove opener

No way to even guess! My son used about 4.5 boxes for his 15. It was like the old days for us, we harvest corn less and less before the 1st, so hunts with this many birds aren’t as common as they once were. We are experimenting with growing industrial hemp and received a seed variety that was...

    Dove opener

We had a great hunt, had a weak cold front so the weather was comfy. We have a largish hunt and then cook and enjoy a few cold ones. We had 34 guns and killed 434 birds, with several youngsters getting their first limits, including my 12 yo. Now it’s time for a nap!

Had a couple of guys reach out to help via pm to help out, thank you so much. I scrounged around and found enough for Jack (my 12 yo). Some great folks on this site, hope we don’t screw it up.

ammo showing up on shelves, but....

Looked for shotshells today for next Wednesday‘s dove opener. There are quite a few 12 ga. in 1oz. loads, but very few in 1 1/8oz. I could’t find a single box of 20 ga. in 1 oz. or 7/8. I’ve got dig through my supply, looks like my 12 yo may have to try the 12 this year. I hope I don’t have...

What did you give your spouse anniversary?

My anniversary is 9/5. My wife asked me yesterday what we will do for our anniversary and I said pick corn. In my defense we are sitting on a balcony drinking coffee looking at mountains in Montana as I type this.

    One 1 Ton Diesel Truck

I’ve got all kinds of diesel equipment, from pickups to combines. 3-4000 miles is unecessary, most of my equipment has 500 hr. oil change intervals. No turbo issues, sometimes turbos go out.

It may turn that when the people figure out that pork comes from pigs there may be a new proposition on the ballot next election.

    What's on the smoker today?

For you guys who haven’t tried smoked bologna, you should, the smoke really brings out the spices in the bologna. We usually do like Ken and slice for sandwiches with fresh tomato and onion. When really feeling uppity I’ll hollow the chub out and stuff with cream cheese, chopped onion...
