    I've never used any hunting, but probably would if I did any bird hunting where there was a lot of shooting. Always wear ear protection for practice shooting, chain saw, weed eater, blower, mowers and tractor work.

    Meat Hunt(s)

    Pretty easy to fill the freezer in the midwest with fat, good eating whitetail does. Tags are pretty cheap and the deer are plentiful. I shot a buck and four does last year in IN and IL.

    I'm in the same boat. It's easy to find hunting partners when I set everything up, provide transportation, a place to hunt, do most of the meat care and processing, etc.

    Deck staining time

    I like the solid finishes rather than transparent on treated lumber. Prep and staining the deck is the easy part, what really takes time is all of the railings, spindles, built in benches, etc.
