Is it worth it?

I was in your shoes a couple months ago. Ended up quitting my construction job after 9 years. Boss didn't allow much hunting time. No benefits what so ever. One raise in all those years. Said the he'll with it! Went on my own. Now I make more, work less, and hunt more.

Stuff happens. Archery hunted Montana the first week and saw a guy with Montana plates checking trail cams. On public land.

Maybe it's mosquito protection for a bald head. Don't know the guy. Don't know the story. Reportedly taken near Lake Bronson, way up by the Canadian border.

"Good Tag" Anxiety

Being not terribly far from Big Fins old homerange, any elk tag is a good one. IMHO.

Things I Wish I'd known about Elk Hunting

Don't set your expectations too high. There's not a 330 bull on every mountain. Any elk with a bow is a great accomplishment.

My current bow sight is 15 years old and the pins aren't as bright as they should be. Its a 3-pin fixed. I'm kinda thinking of going to a single pin slider or 3 pin slider. Only problem is I'm not liking the idea of a single pin slider for elk, specifically for shots at bulls called in. The...
