As mentioned by others, there's really no reason not to play both states. In my opinion, Colorado limited entry can be a little more predictable to draw than the limited entry tags in Wyoming.
No problem, I've read enough of your posts to know that's not what you're about. Thanks for the opinion on the electronic stuff. I'll probably follow your advice and go with the in-hand tag rather than the E-tag option then. Yeah, I probably won't go for a landowner tag this year but it's...
Haha, small world isn't it? My brother actually drew a controlled deer hunt up at Mosquito Creek last fall, so we got to do some hunting up that way last year. We ended up leaving more jealous of the waterfowl hunting opportunities compared to down here in the southern part of the state. I've...
Thanks Ben! I feel pretty good about my 3 choices and how I have them ordered. I am definitely going to apply. I was just trying to figure out if the Habitat Stamp and HMAV are required to participate in the draw, or are they only required if you draw. Also, I didn't realize the private cow...
Budget isn't an issue. I'm just not one to spend the extra money if it's not required. Would rather put it towards upgrading my RMEF membership than give it to NM.
I have read/seen conflicting information regarding whether you have to purchase the Habitat Stamp and HMAV to apply in New Mexico. I went back and listened to Big Fin's New Mexico application video on Youtube from this year, and he stated that you only have to purchase the Habitat Stamp and...
I was asking myself the same thing a few years ago when I got a 7mm Rem. Mag. Decided to go with 168gr VLDs because of their reputation for accuracy. Crazy tight tolerances on these bullets compared to the other bullets on the shelf. Super accurate too. All pass throughs on deer with minimal...
Hey guys, thought I'd post an update for others to reference in the future. Lowa customer service got back with me via email saying that Nikwax is fine to use on any Lowa boots and will not void the warranty.
I picked up the Leupold RX-2800 from Schmaltz last year at a good price, and I absolutely love it! No problems getting readings at 2200 yards while only handheld. Honestly, the RX-2800 isn't that much more expensive than the RX-1600. I debated this last year before I made my purchase and it...
I was looking at getting the Nikwax Waterproofing Wax for Leather. See anything wrong with using that or anything else in the Nikwax line that would be better?
What exact product from Nikwax do you use for your Lowa boots? Just picked up a pair of the Hunters and want to keep that rand from peeling off. Thanks!
Yeah, it's been down for a while now. I don't remember the HMA page being down for this extent of time in the past. Hopefully it's back up at the beginning of July.
Thanks Addicting! I'll keep that in mind. Hopefully it doesn't come to that and Hodgdon makes a new run this spring and I can get my hands on some. Thanks to everyone else for looking as well! Guess I'll just have to wait it out.
