I have a ‘13 F150 with the 5.0L and I love it. The 3.5L are nice but at least in that era the turbos often start leaking and it’s a $5-6k fix unless you can do your own mechanic work. I can’t and I’m very risk averse so I opted for the 5.0.
I’m down five pounds so far. My life has gone a bit haywire the last week and a half; my dad ended up in the ICU and I had to jump in my truck and drive to ND to see him. Managed to mostly stay on track even through that. He is still in the hospital but doing better, definitely been stressful...
That’s what I use as well. There’s also an app called Lose It. I used that for a little while to see how J liked it, but I’d been using MyFitnessPal for a couple years by then so I just stuck with that.
I feel that. I gained 15 pounds last year, and it definitely put me at the top limit of fitting into some of my hunting clothes. I want to drop the weight anyhow, for other reasons, but I’m also motivated to not have to buy new hunting clothes in the next size up.
I need to drop about 15 lbs (already in the process and making progress on this one) and I plan to run my first half marathon this year. Preferably the Missoula half marathon in late June. I’ve done 5ks but never entered anything longer, however my weekly long run is 7 miles so I figure this...

Welcome from Missoula!
I do the same, mostly just lurk and enjoy reading everyone’s posts but don’t comment a ton. Good on you for paying it forward and helping someone out.
That $85/box for 270 Wby is a bit painful though. Good thing I have enough ammo for this season cuz I’d have to be pretty desperate to pay that.
I still haven’t found any for my 410 though. Super frustrating. I hope some shows up on store shelves this fall.
What do they charge to tan them? Just curious approximately what that runs. Probably makes a lot more sense to have someone else do it. I thought it would be interesting to learn how to do them at some point, but not until we move to a different place for sure.
Wow, a person could really go...
I haven’t but at some point I’d like to try tanning hides and using them to make things. Just haven’t figured out how to process them while living in an apartment without offending the neighbors, ha. We have a small shed but the process to tan a deer or larger sized hide sounds a bit messy and...
