    Bow poundage, grain weight question...

So your arrow weighs ~325gr and maybe your shooting 280fps; so your ke is around 56ft lbs. While this is not a high number, most arrow manufactors will state over 55lbs ke is sufficient for most big game and you have proven this to be true. For arguement a sake, saw you pump up to 100gr heads...

    Havalon Knives ?

I still swear by the victorinox parring knives. Cheap, light weight, smallish, very sharp and easy to touch up when needed. I use it for 90% of the work when breaking down and elk and it's still very sharp. Lots of taxi's swear by them as well. Only complaint is you have to come up with a better...

    Crazies Goat Tag

On the western slope is a fs cabin, Porcupine. Just east of it is a deep heavily timbered canyon that has a rocky westerly face; I've ran into goats several times there. In theory you could rent the cabin and hunt them everyday. With that said, I've never hunted goats there so this could be a...

    How would this guy rate.....

I think he's a great looking buck and would be proud of him, love the heavy curl. I'll take a stab at a score, minus iPhone image quality handicap, he's around 70". As stated he's short from the side, ears appear to be at tops of cutters. Being generous, that would put the top of the cutter at...

    South Montana

Along rock creek north of red lodge you can find a number of birds. Big timber has a descent amount as does areas along the big horn. You just need to knock on doors, perhaps get a res tag.

    Anyone Use CE Maxima Reds?

Reds are awesome, just cost a lot. Get a dozen and only cut 6; saving the others for future adjustments if needed. I love my gt pros, very tough arrow. Vaps are alright.

    Offset Helical Blazers ?

Offsets and Helicals add rifling for better aerodynamics and stability so the answer to your question is yes. A strong twist on a short vane can become problomatic as they are more prone to "pop" lose so you have to really clean both shaft and vane base and use a quality adhesive, I prefer gels...

    Make Ahead and Freeze Meals

I like to make beef stroganoff. Freeze in a double ziploc, submerge in hot water to heat up while boiling your noodles.
