    blueing ?

Matching the blueing is going to be trouble. Birchwood Casey makes a decent product. If you decide to redo the gun, heating the metal makes for a better finish. Remove the stock and break the pieces down as much as possible, then put them in the oven. Look the process up online for details, I'm...

    Favorite snack?

I've attached an easy recipe for homemade power bars that taste really good. Mix it all up and then put it into a ziplock. This and string cheese is a must. While early bow hunting I also bring along a fruit cup; sipping the juice is very refreshing in the heat of the breaks.

Sub-MOA .300 Win mag rifle recommendations?

I would look at the savage series, like the weather warrior. It has been my experience that out of the box accuracy and function has been highest with this company the past few years.

    Does hunting dog price matter?

It matters to a point. We have dogs that we know will have a higher likely hood of being successful based solely on their lines and what the predecessors did. However, the biggest road block to a dogs success seems to always be the skill level of the owner/handler. We spend more time training...

    New Bow?

Clearance priced bow with all the trimmings; your into it for a grand give or take. On a side note; how confident are you that the tech working on your bow has it right. Have you checked your specs; ata in particular and how twisted up is the buss cable. If your ever in billings Id gladly take...

    Latest 410 road conditions

I have never seen skeeters like this; all day every day. You swat them by the dozen.

    avian x turkey

You need to blow them up via the valve tube on the belly region. Because of the material and inflating it, cresses really aren't an issue. I deflate mine a bit to fit better in my vest, not all the way though so it makes it faster to get setup. You can have it filled and in the ground in...

    avian x turkey

They are collapsable. They take about 30 seconds, depending on how full of hot air you are, to fill up. They are a hard rubber so yes if shot you would have a leak, patchable, but still don't shoot it. The paint doesn't flake off either like it does on other collapsable decs.

    New Bow?

Buy a last year clearance bow, 60# is plenty but if you are comfortable going up then do so. Your shoulder and the cam will dictate that but I would skew to the light side. Some stores like Scheels will buy/trade value your old bow. Im a huge fan of Hoyt, the Faktor would be a great choice. I...

    avian x turkey

I use a number of decoys but if I'm running and gunning I only carry the avian x feeder. The last few years I've switched to almost always hunting Turks with a bow, public land, over this dec and have had good success. It's worth it.

    Cabelas Euros HD Binoculars

They're made by Meopta, a czech company that makes good glass. They are essentially a meostar. Heavy is the main complaint, I believe the coatings are different as well. Cheaper sense cabelas takes care of warranty work; replacements.

    Broadhead Alignment ?

For the most part I agree, which is why I stated its a waste of time except for the confidence boost. As a side note, a 3 vane 120 degree fletch is not the only way to approach fletching.

    Toxic broadheads

I've never been a fan of his products. I feel like most of his products start with the "cool factor" and then consider function. Don't know anybody that's used them though.

    Cow Calls

A call like the primos hyper lip single and double are a good starting point. If you want a true eustress call tone and pitch you should use an open reed. I prefer diaphragms for cow talk once you get use to them. Throw away your hoochie mama.

    Broadhead Alignment ?

Some will argue that if the blades and vanes align that you are reducing the amount of undesturbed air, thus reducing friction and drag. Could also then argue that it is "quieter" and flatter shooting at distance. To get them to align you can screw different heads into different shafts to get...
