As previously stated, you don't necessarily need to get down to bare bore. However, a lot of "shot out barrels" such as with the intro of the swift were actually just fouled up barrels. When I need to really clean a barrel I turn to butches bore shine.
Depends on condition, blue book prices are higher then what they should be for Winchester across the board( colts as well). A standard grade .243 in 80% would sit on a mt rack for 1200 and be able to sell for 1000, of which the shop would pay you around 700. Optics, unless old and cool, are...
Talk to Bill or Gabe at Big sky archery in Belgrade; better yet call Black Gold sights and ask for Bryce Pick. Bryce will tell you all you need to know.
Badlands 2200. I've packed out more critters with this than I could count. Can carry everything you need for a daypack and even a few days spike hunting.
Personally I wouldn't do a stamp; I would raise license cost for every resident around $25. As residents we need to take more ownership in funding. As for bma, I'm a big fan but it needs work. Lots of the enrolled land is low quality and the landowners get screwed everytime someone hunts without...
The ruger is a fine rifle and you'd be very happy with it. One should point out that is operates off the piston as opposed to the traditional impingement system, a whole other debate. I've ran a number of rounds through this platform and they've always worked great.
Montana canvas out of Belgrade. They use a product call "realite" or something to that affect. They say it is a lot lighter but not as durable or watertight. Check them out, I have their 12x15 and love it. Get a floor.
The buddy heaters have a co detector that shuts it off if levels get to high. As for the wife, her opinion will vary depending on which end of hunting season she was asked.
I have thought about modifying the tent to accommodate a small stove. Wouldn't be hard to due, would certainly need a...
I spent a month in Costa Rica and thought it was amazing. My sister just spent two weeks in Nicaragua and said the same thing. Difference being that everybody believes Nicaragua is this war torn hell hole (most also think its in Africa for some reason) so everything was dirt cheap and you didn't...
I've used my frabil 6 man for about 6 years now as a hunting shack. I can fit two cots in and have plenty of room for coolers and gear. Things I've done; outdoor carpet for the floor, two UFO style led lights to hang on each hub, heat it with a big buddy heater, the seams will leak a bit under...
I tried some of badlands apparel this year. Their spectra top was real nice, all of it was. I also used a merino wool base layer that was cabelas brand this year, it was nice as well but expensive.

Or the magic of an outdoor stores gift card. $25 can get a kid some cool stuff, hell, I think I'm going to send this list out to my family.
Crispis, I want the new Idaho's. Been wearing denalis for the last couple years as I got them dirt cheap. I've tried different sizes and insoles, best I can get is an "acceptable" boot out of them. Uninsulated, 8" boots are what I like for year long hunting. Pair them with the right sock and...
