I really would like to see the group not change the draw at all and stick with the current PP draw, so then you are not screwing anyone over that is in the game with X amount of points.
Another way to really fight the overcrowding issue that they are trying tackle is to make everyone buy their...
It's going to be interesting what tag quotas they come out with for these 2nd and 3rd seasons. How many people are going to get caught not applying for a tag they are used to buying in June-September and find out they are SOL?
I think you could still have OTC tags as long as the other three were implemented, especially if all points were zeroed with any A tag. But in general, I am totally on board with your thinking here.
I really should have stated that my idea of points being used for any A tag would really be for NR. As a R, you should obviously have some privileges that us NRs don't have. Now if they decided to do this for R, I think it would take some time(to get through current point holders), but I do...
I have been on this bandwagon for a bit now. I really do think this would help out with the point creep and would make a person decide if they want to go after the high end tags or hunt more often with OTC/low point tags.
I don't think CO would need to go draw only if they would make it that your points would zero out(or couldn't buy a point) if you bought any OTC A tag. I also think this would help out with point creep.
I think I know the answer, but can someone please confirm this for me before I tell someone bad information. If you draw a type 4 tag, your points will be gone, but if you draw a type 6 or 7 tag, it does NOT use your points and you can still buy a PP for 2023.
Maybe I am looking at this to simple, but what do you think would happen to the point creep if you get an A tag one of the following happens
1) Not allowed to buy Preference points
2) If you have any points, they are zeroed out.(No matter if tag is issued in regular draw, secondary draw, or...
Here is a question for fellow NRs, what if WY allowed you to only apply for one species(antelope, deer, or elk) a year? Would you be fine with this if it meant you would be able to hunt the great state of WY more often. This also means no buying PPs for the other species that year.
Don't wanna push you to another forum cause this is a great place, but over on Eastmans there is a guy(IowaBuck) who is currently going to WU that is from Iowa that does quite a bit of hunting. It might not be a bad idea to jump on over there, look him up and ask him a couple questions on how...
I used Krylon Fusion and then added the Krylon Webbing on top to give it a little cooler look and it seems to be holding up really well. Been about 3-4 years now and haven't noticed any paint wear so far.
If I was buying one now I would go with the Garmin 64sc. I have the 62 model and seems to be a solid unit. I have been told that if you are hunting in the cold the touchscreens can get real slow to react. Don't know if this is true anymore or not, but a couple years ago when I bought the 62 I...
