Maybe I am wrong, but I thought you got your full refund and your points back if you return a tag currently in CO.
Edit, I just re-read it and you are correct winmag. Has it alwasys been that way? for some reason I thought you got both back.
Still wish they had passed something that would help prevent so many returned tags. Something along the lines of either getting your money or your points back, but not both(unless it was an emergency like WY allows)
Can someone please explain to me how all this is going to reduce the point creep issue that I thought this was supposed to help with. Mainly talking about elk/deer.
In the country with well, and we have very hard water and lots of iron where we are at in central MN. I'm not sure if it helps with the hardness at all, but put in a whole house iron filter(looks kind of like a water softener) and that has seemed to make a big difference in the amount of water...
Maybe I misunderstood the role of this working group, or maybe I am misunderstanding the final recommendations, but I thought part of this was to help reduce point creep. I don't see anything in here that is going to reduce that.
I would look really long and hard at the Savage 110 Ultralite with the Proof barrels. My brother has one in 7PRC, and the things shoots great and is nice and light to carry in the mountains.
● During the surrender period, allow customers to return a license for BOTH a monetary refund and restoration of preference points to the pre-draw level
I was really hoping that the option to return the tag and get both your money and PP back would only be for the approved exceptions.

The draw stats are located here, but looks like the 2024 aren't up yet. You will be able to find the number of tags for LE hunt codes when they are posted
HighDesertSage,
I shot you a message, but not sure if your inbox is full or not. I got a quick question for you about something you posted a few years back
Thanks
Ryan
This is what really gets me about landowner tags. I still have a hard time understanding why a landowner would get tags that they can sell that don't need to be used exclusively on private land.
I wish we would pull our heads out of our a** and put our time, effort and money into nuclear instead of solar and wind. People hear nuclear and think its horrible, but they don't realize it's the cleanest form of energy there is.
Sure there is. If you are hell bent on not hunting alone and want to go with someone and you want to make sure that you both have a tag it's a benefit. If you are going into the draw not 100% sure you will draw, then I would definitely go as a group instead of individually.
Didn't really want to start a new thread, so thought I would piggyback off of this one. Our group is mainly looking to apply for a PP this year, but we decided we might want to put down a 2nd choice that has a possibility of not drawing out in the first round. Is 2nd choice just a random...
My brother was telling me about this and at first I didn't believe him. Am I understanding this correctly that all the land(private & public) would be turned over to the tribe?
I don't think preference points are broke either, just think they need to take your points everytime you get an A tag(draw, OTC, leftover, etc). Also need to make it that if you return your tag, you can get your money back, but your points are NOT reinstated.
