You will not regret it. P_ham is awesome to work with through every step of the process and his work is truly art. I have always been a guy who used guns just as tools, but as my kids are getting older, I have thought more and more about not only what their early shooting memories will be, but...
I vote that instead of the normal off-season crazy threads, we all send p_ham our old guns and watch the threads as he breathes life back into them! Outstanding work on the gun @p_ham!
Agreed - I have been studying up on casting and how fast a cast bullet can be driven and what elements can be tweaked to bump that up. Just another rabbit hole I’ll likely end up going down!
I’m going to end up getting hawks and trying them out. Thought I would reach out here and see if anyone has an old stash that I can use up at the range plinking too - the more the merrier!
How about any flat nosed .284 bullet that I can load in a tubular magazine? Someone has an old stash of some flat nosed bullets sitting there collecting dust…. Maybe…?
Finally got around to smoking some ribs from my last pig. Dry rub for two days, 5 hours on the smoker and some sauce with a slight Asian flair to finish. Turned out great!
We always do a big Mexican feast for Christmas Eve, with the star being green chicken enchiladas with our homemade sauce recipe. I think this year I will smoke some of my wild pig and turn that into smoked carnitas, and make one tray of enchiladas with that. I’ll report back on how it turns out!
Made the Guinness Stew recipe from MeatEater with some elk and it turned out great! The daughter gave it 11 thumbs up! Perfect cold night meal.
Sorry if the lighting isn’t the greatest.
A little off topic, but maybe someone here can help. I have a 7 year old that is showing a large interest in math and science. I don’t want him to burn out on them, but I also don’t want him to get bored with the level he is learning those two items in class. We do lots of reading, tinkering...
Just picked this up - thanks for the info. I have been meaning to do this for a while, and I figured I better get it over with and ordered before I come home to a defrosted/ broken freezer with hundreds of pounds of wasted meat one day (happened to my brother last year - super sad thing)
Put the kids on the stand - two cute innocent kids vs a gang banger… shouldn’t be that hard for the moms and dads in the jury to come back with not guilty.
This situation is where I feel a “jury of your peers” is the key to regulating and sending a message to the DA that they are chasing the wrong people/ are not representing the people. While I say this, I also understand that a jury of peers is very different in California now, than most other...
watching this game and the Griz underperform in most aspects of things, it does seem a little ironic that Ty Gregorac is a commentator, when he was likely the best defensive coordinator that the Griz had in the last 20 years. He has to be laughing to himself inside after they turned him away -...
If you are looking for any pointers, I believe drinking either red-beer or clam-beer will get you the closest to celebrating like the masses watching the game. After typing this, I think I might make one for myself at kickoff for old times sake.
Happy game day all!! Hope everyone has a great day either watching the game and cheering for a Montana team, or maybe the better option is to be in the woods today hunting while everyone else is watching the game? Either way - go Griz!
