Here is my 2013 bull, shot him on opening morning at 7:15am. told myself i wouldnt shoot the first bull i saw but i couldnt help myself. He ia a 6x7 and my biggest bull to date. Got my meat back from the processor and got 460lbs! time to eat up!
here is a pic of my antelope this year, i first saw him in april and have always wanted a freak so i knew he was the buck i wanted. Once the season opened it took a couple days of sitting on a little piece of blm land waiting for him to leave a private hayfield but he finally did!
I know exactly where that pic of the hills was taken, some good elk and deer hunting just on the other side of that believe it or not, congrats on the goat! i was out in that unit opening day also it was very calm i liked it!
Well Obviously there were enough NR that wanted the tags im just saying as a Resident why in the hell do i have to enter the drawing if im not even sure i want that tag. Lets say that i want an area 68 buck tag but end up not drawing it then decide i would like a doe tag since i didnt draw a...
Ive posted this on other sites as well:
So a question was brought up on another site about how looking at the drawing odds there should be leftover tags for an area but the list says sold out. i looked into it and this is what i came up with:
They divide the tags into 80% Resident and 20% non...
I must be doing something right this is the third year in a row iv'e drawn a 19 bull tag! although the first one i had was the late season the same year you did and boy was that hell haha. good luck this fall!
Hmm I see your concern buzz and I agree on most parts. I to have killed my biggest antelope in a second choice area and my biggest Muley and whitetail in the same general unit. The only unit with draw odds under 10% I've applied for is the deer tag I mentioned and I m no at all surprised to see...
I agree a bonus point system would be a lot better than preference. I would miss logging in on draw results day and being totally surprised by what I drew with the pp system also. I love that rush of excitement when you see you drew when you thought you had no chance
Well here's my view on the system. The 100% random system we have now is great for the fact that you never know what your going to draw and everyone has the same chance at the tags. I put in for 8 tags every year and I always draw at least one so I'm not one of the bitter guys that never draws a...
Went out todayWent out this morning and did a little scouting for the area i am hoping to draw and put this guy at the top of my list, just thought i would share and get some blood pumping for the antelope lovers out there, im going to be really bummed if i dont pull a tasg now that i have gone...
I had a Euro done on this guy and will finally get him back on sunday so i will finally be able to lay a tape on him, I absolutely love antelope hunting and he is one of my better bucks so far, just curious what everyones guess is.
