If it was pitch black out and the deer was about 10 yards away you could always scream like a little girl, and then wonder if you were having a heart attack. At least that's what I did when I was 14 and it happened to me under those circumstances.
Sorry if this link has already been posted but thought it was a good read. Saw it on MSN this morning. I believe it also references the Gentleman on here that had the issue in the Crazies.

Yep, just because someone buys all the lightweight backcountry gear, hikes in miles and miles, sleeps on the edge of a cliff to be on a bull or buck at first light doesn’t mean they’re not lazy slobs. Similar to those that leave a bunch of meat behind because it was too much to bring out in...
So how can I purchase a second state??? I have tried my phone, iPad and computer and I can't purchase a second state. It only gives me the option to purchase the elite membership for the entire country, which I have no use whatsoever for. Anyone have any ideas???
I'll be different and recommend 777. I hunt in the wet nasty of Western Washington during muzzleloader season with 777 and a musket cap. I've never had a misfire with that combo and get consistent velocity and good accuracy.
I just flew over this morning, lots of snow on the ground up through central Montana. I'm guessing it'll warm up, melt and continue being messy for a bit.
I skimmed over the responses so I may have missed it, but I don't think anyone cover the accuracy of a Marlin lever gun. It can be down right spooky!! When the .450 Marlin was introduced I picked one up in the guide gun configuration. With factory loads I was able to cloverleaf shots at 100...
Pretty much what others have said. We split fuel. Usually we figure out how many meals we will have and are each responsible to bring/make so many. As far as vehicle maintenance goes. I drive one year/trip, somebody else does the next one, etc... since I really only hunt with one person...
I will load the same cartridge with both BT's and Accubonds. In a couple of my rifles they are close but not exactly the same impact point. About 1 to 1 1/2 inches difference in point of impact at 100 yards. As long as you're aware of any impact difference you could practice with something...
They should be fine. While Nosler does say they are a deer bullet, a lot of elk fall to that and the 165 BT. They've got to label them for something or else people wouldn't buy their other bullets. If you were reloading I'd suggest the Accubond but as long as they shoot accurately and you...
Since they are active military I would say they're of a younger generation than I am. Something is being lost in society called "courtesy" and it's not just the younger generation. I have a couple of friends, let's just average their age at 50, that I'll set up a day hunt or fishing with...
