Apologies if this has been asked. I used the search function and couldn’t find anything. Is there a way I can have my iPad display in landscape mode? I know I can rotate the image but it’s annoying to use in portrait mode. Thanks.
Nature is good for the soul, whether it’s hunting, fishing or just plain hanging out. If more people figured that out society might not be so screwed up.
I’d have to say my Pole Cat shooting sticks.(Before they were bought out and rebranded by Primos). I not only use them to shoot, but to steady my binos for glassing and as a cane/treking pole for keeping balance in steep uneven terrain.
Some good advice here. I’m not in the financial world so no need to listen to me, but I’m in a position now I only spend my kids inheritance 😁 Someone mentioned goals and I think that‘s one of the first steps. I was given advice before I ever bought a house. Make sure you can make all...
I guess I lucked out. I got divorced somewhere around 16 or 17 years ago, can’t even remember. My former in-laws I now call my out-laws and we get along great. So great I would stay with them on vacation in Palm Springs. They recently moved back to be around great grand children and I will...
Similar but not quite the same, an uncle had an inner ear infection that rendered him useless for a summer. It took a bit for his issue to clear up. Hopefully yours is something simple.
I switched over to AA and AAA Eneloops and Amazon basic rechargeable a couple years ago. I also made sure all my lights now take one or the other. It has made life simpler for sure. GPS takes AA and I can get about 25% more time running it than I could on alkaline Batteries. Also don’t...
Appreciate all the responses and alternatives offered. Should have the gun later this next week and be up and running. I’ll post an update on my thoughts.
I did look at the Talley and Leupold 1 piece set up. I pretty much have Leupold mounts and rings on every scoped rifle I own but I thought I’d look at something different for this gun. My buddy has a couple Tikka rifles with DNZ and Leupold on his. Both seemed a bit high for me but I know he...
Thanks for the input. I snagged a pair of Warne rings so I’ll give them a try. Worse case scenario I don't like them and try something else. my Biggest concern was movement on the rail but I think that’s been alleviated with the recoil lug on the front ring. It’s a .308 so I’m not overly...
So I pulled the trigger, pun intended, and ordered a Tikka T3X in .308. It’ll primarily be a gun to just mess around with but I’ll probably take it on a hunt now and then. I’ve spent the last couple of days searching here and just wanted to see if anyone who uses the Warne rings that Mount...
I really like the Leupold 2.5-8x36, have them on both my Kimbers, .300WSM and 7mm-08. It’s a nice trim package that’ll provide all the power you need And they look good on a wood stocked bolt action.
To add a little, it just opens up some possibilities. Sometimes it’s nice to walk a river bottom with an open sighted rifle, knowing everything you see will be in range.
Well, thanks to your reply I looked it up and bought 10 boxes. I’m in the market for a .308 to play around and maybe hunt with. For that price I’m not so sure I could even load for it today. If it doesn’t group well I’ve got 200 pieces of Norma brass!
This year was my Kimber .300 WSM with a 180 Accubond. 350 yards on a cow and the freezer was full. I did take along my Ruger 77 in .35 Whelen with 250 grain Partitions but never had a chance to carry it.
