Favorite style/type of fishing and favorite place to do it ?

Flag up!!!! Something about running to a tip-up flag up knowing there could be a 40" pike on the other end gets me excited! Also really enjoy pitching cranks for walleyes, sitting on a river bank catching cats, or floating a bobber with a sucker for whatever is hungry. Catching tarpon in the...

Not sure why I'm posting this...

Sorry to hear of your loss Brian. A guy that recently joined our church also just committed suicide. Even though I had never had the chance to meet him, ( dont make it to church enough) I still feel quite bothered and saddened by it. It's a sadness that I cannot really even describe, just an...

    Saying goodbye sucks

Very sorry for your loss. Looks like she lived a great life, full of exciting adventures. A life most other dogs would be envious of. Loosing a good dog is about as tough as gets.

    Gritty Episode 528

I guess I would put an illuminating reticle in a different class then range finding scopes and sight pins.

    Shooting an Intruder

If I felt he was a danger to my family and I, he'd take a bullet..probably a few. If it was just a thief and was trying to leave I'd let him walk. I don't know if I'd want to sit in my living room, kitchen or anywhere else in my house knowing that I killed a man there the week before.

Looking for a little help on a dog decision

Nice looking Weim! I had one growing up, very loyal to my Dad,Mom and I and was hell on pheasants but didn't like retrieving ducks. I believe it sometimes has to do with the amount of oil that waterfowl feathers have vs. Upland birds. After the weim, my dad and I made sure to start our Draath...

Boots for early-mid season wet conditions

Should probably post this in the gear section but figured it'd get a few more views and responses here. I'm looking for a new pair of boots for archery elk hunting in wet conditions. I've been wearing Kenetrek mountain extremes for three years now and for the most part they've been great, but...

    Bloody pack and bears

This will be our 3rd year hunting that unit, haven't seen any bears or sign yet but have heard plenty about them being in the area. Wouldn't do anything different with a bloody pack than I would with a clean one. Always hang it a good distance from camp unless it's in the truck or trailer and...

    Cameron Hanes

I like him. He's able to make a living doing what he loves and he gives it his all, while also inspiring and showing others that hard work and dedicaton pays off. He definitely does more than enough self promotion but I can't fault him for it, that's how he pays the bills.
