Oldest boy and I mule deer hunting. He shot his first buck
Oldest boy, father-in-law and Brother-in-law helping me on my elk hunt
My brother-in-law and our daughters finishing up chukar season
After two full days of shooting I have her dialed. Zero’d at 100 and verified data out to 965. By far the furthest I’ve shot. Starting out with the 175gr ELDX and once I’ve filled in a few gaps on this range card I’ll switch over to ELDM.
Yes, in hindsight maybe should have gone with the Vortex scope and left the bipod off of it but figured the light gun allowed me to add what I wanted and would still be a pound or more lighter than some other rifles
Got the Arca rail mounted and swapped scope rings from vortex mediums to seekins lows. I’m liking the atlas psr bipod. Bought a mystery ranch sling and now to wait for the surpressor, sight it in , practice a bunch and she’ll be ready to go
Welcome from Northern Nevada. Started my big game hunting journey while living just east of Springfield. Actually my first season in fire in Oregon as well.
Female will help with the size issue and suggest, I am very happy with my pudelpointer. You said shedding is ok but most of them don’t shed and the ones that do shed very little. Great versatile breed for waterfowl and upland, and are great family dogs.
I’d have hunted CA this year if I hadn’t drawn tags. Maybe politics plays a small part why people refuse to go to CA. Not saying it’s a major factor but I bet it plays a part. There’s a lot of hate for the state.
Since it was brought up, I CC loaded. No safety on my 365. It’s illegal to have a loaded rifle or shotgun in a vehicle, including a UTV. As to carrying the rifle, my best friend was killed in a hunting accident by his brother’s gun so I tend to carry empty. Shotgun stays loaded until I stop or...
I have a 7 month puppy so this thread caught my eye. I had a yellow lab before, now I’ve moved on to a new to me breed. I saw a post from January stating a gentleman had seen a few Pudelpointers but wasn’t interested in mixed breeds so I thought I clear things up. All dogs are mixed breeds are...
I put in as a party with my oldest boy where I could. I’d like any tag I applied for but would cherish a chance for us to hunt together. I thoroughly enjoy taking him out to fill his tag but there’s something about us being out there, both having an opportunity to shoot that I yearn for. Maybe...

1500 acres near Battle Mountain. Not sure if this is the right place to post this but thought it was an important step in the right direction. Always positive when we acquire new public lands
Still not seeing a whole lot out there. A couple of does one night but only bucks were on private property:( we’ll keep hunting hard and I’m sure it will pay off in the end. I just want to see my boy successful on his first hunt
I was told to check out a hunting spot but I can’t find the answer, is it ok for me to access? If anyone hunts Reno-pyramid lake area please PM me I’m running out of time
